1. DIS / GT1 – BMW diagnostics
This section is for BMW DIS GT1 diagnostic virtual machines.
Main DIS / GT1 functions:
• Full vehicle and ECU identification;
• Read / clear fault codes with detailed descriptions and printable reports;
• Guided test plans with wiring hints and expected values;
• Live data and measurement blocks;
• Adaptations, calibrations and initialisations (DSC, EGS, DDE/DME, steering angle, throttle, etc. – depending on chassis);
• Service functions: service interval reset, brake bleed, EPB procedures, battery registration, etc. where supported by GT1 generation.
2. Progman / SSS – coding & programming
This block is about BMW SSS Progman programming: flashing and coding ECUs.
Main Progman / SSS functions:
• Programming (flashing) control units after replacement or software update;
• Coding vehicle options and configuration (languages, region, equipment flags, etc.);
• Automatic “measures plan” calculation from VIN;
• Detailed log of all operations.
Warning: any BMW SSS programming operation carries normal flashing risks (power loss, communication drop, wrong interface).
Always use a stable power supply for car and laptop, and a supported interface (ICOM / high-quality K-DCAN / J2534 according to your setup).

5. Usage tips
• For older chassis (E36/E38/E39/E46) GT1-DIAG-1.0.x + PROG-1.0.x is usually enough.
• For E60/E61, E63/E64, E65/E66, E70 and newer E-series inside GT1 era, use the 2.0.1 line.
• If you only need diagnostics, pick any DIAG VM or VirDis_75_Diagnosis.
• For serious BMW SSS Progman programming, go with GT1-PROG-2.0.1 plus stable power and a proper interface.
• ISPI.TRIC Virtual-GT1 images are ideal if you want a clean OEM-style base BMW GT1 virtual machine and add your own tools on top.
