A4 BOSCH Crypto — quick EEPROM service for Audi A4 RB4/RB8 clusters ⚙️
Small, focused Windows utility for Bosch “crypto” instrument clusters used in the Audi A4 (8E/8H). Open an EEPROM dump, view Old km and Trip km, set the New km value, and save a corrected file with checksum handled automatically. Designed for workshop use after cluster repair or replacement.

A4 BOSCH Crypto utility showing Old km, Trip km, and New km fields with Open and Save buttons.

What it does
  • RB4/RB8 support — targets Bosch crypto clusters commonly fitted to Audi A4 B6/B7.
  • Read & display current odometer and trip values from the dump.
  • Safe edit — enter a new calibrated mileage; tool recalculates checksums/crypto bytes for you.
  • Fast workflowOpen → Set new mileage → Save corrected EEPROM.
  • Compact & portable — lightweight executable for quick bench jobs.

Typical workflow (high level)
  • Read the cluster’s EEPROM with your programmer and save the dump.
  • Open the dump in A4 BOSCH Crypto, review Old and Trip.
  • Enter the New calibrated value, then Save the corrected file.
  • Write the file back to the cluster and verify on the bench/vehicle.

Use cases
  • Instrument cluster refurbishment or replacement
  • Restoring correct mileage after EEPROM corruption
  • Calibration during module swaps in the same vehicle

Compatibility
Tested on Windows 10 LTSC (2019). Also runs on Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 (x86/x64).
