AES Universal EGR Remover v2.2 is a lightweight Windows application used together with ECU tuning tools to modify exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) related maps inside engine control unit dumps.
It is aimed at professional calibrators and workshops working on off-road, motorsport or test bench projects where custom EGR strategies are required.
Highlights
Package contents
Compatibility notes
AES Universal EGR Remover works on ECU binary files read by external programmers or tuning tools; it does not read or write ECUs directly.
Supported engines are organised by brand and capacity (for example Alfa Romeo 1.3–2.4 JTD/JTDM, Audi 1.9–2.5 TDI, BMW x18d–x30d, Chrysler 2.5 CRD and similar diesel platforms). Actual coverage depends on ECU software version and calibration ID even within the same engine family.
Use is intended only where custom calibration is allowed, such as closed-course motorsport vehicles, dyno development or off-road machinery. For road-going vehicles always respect national emission and safety regulations and the vehicle manufacturer’s guidelines.

Highlights
- Supports a wide range of diesel engines grouped by brand and displacement (Alfa Romeo JTD/JTDM, Audi TDI, BMW x18d–x30d, Chrysler CRD and many others)
- Tree based navigation: select manufacturer, engine family and ECU type before loading the corresponding binary file
- Automatic detection of EGR structures in supported dumps with guided editing
- Simple workflow: open ECU file, select the correct engine entry, process the file and save the modified version
- Compact standalone executable that can be used alongside most bench or OBD reading tools which output standard BIN files
- Intended for experienced users who understand emission system strategies and operate within local legislation
Package contents
- AES Universal EGR Remover v2.2 program for Windows
- Internal database of supported brands and engine families as shown in the left-hand tree view
- Configuration files stored in the program folder
- Basic on screen status messages during file processing

Basic usage
- Read the ECU calibration with your preferred tuning or programming tool and save the file in BIN or compatible binary format
- Open AES Universal EGR Remover, choose the appropriate brand and engine entry from the left-hand list
- Load the ECU file into the program and let it analyse EGR related structures for that family
- Review the proposed changes, then save the processed file under a new name for traceability
- Write the modified file back to the ECU using professional equipment and verify function on a dyno or test bench
- Confirm that the calibration is being used only in applications that comply with local laws and motorsport regulations
Operating systems
- Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
- Commonly used on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 32/64 bit environments
- Can run on newer Windows builds when started with standard user or administrator rights
Minimum system requirements
- 1 GHz or faster x86/x64 processor
- 2 GB of RAM or more
- At least 50 MB of free disk space for the application and processed files
- Screen resolution 1024 x 768 or higher
- External ECU reading/writing tool for obtaining and flashing BIN files (not included)
