Audi TT / Beetle Login Reader II — quick PIN read for early VAG clusters 🔑
Lightweight Windows tool that reads the immobilizer login (PIN) from early Audi TT (8N) and VW New Beetle via a simple K-line interface (COM port). Handy for cluster/key adaptation and ECU matching on Immo2/early Immo3 platforms.

Audi TT / Beetle Login Reader II window with COM port selector, Start button and PIN display.

Highlights
  • Direct PIN read — displays the 4/5-digit immobilizer login.
  • K-line / COM — works with common KKL interfaces assigned to COM1…COMx.
  • One-button workflow — select port → Start → readout in seconds.
  • Minimal setup — portable executable, no heavy dependencies.

Typical use cases
  • Cluster replacement or ECU swap on Audi TT 8N and VW New Beetle
  • Key adaptation when original login is unknown
  • Verifying immobilizer data before programming

Quick start
  • Install your KKL/K-line driver and note the assigned COM port.
  • Ignition ON, connect to OBD.
  • Select the correct ComPort in the app and press Start.
  • The Login (PIN) field will populate; record it for adaptation.

Compatibility & notes
  • Target: Early VAG immobilizer systems (Audi TT 8N, VW New Beetle; K-line).
  • Interface: KKL/K-line (FTDI/CH340) mapped to a Windows COM port.
  • Limitations: Newer CAN-based clusters and late Immo3/Immo4 systems are not supported.

System requirements
  • OS: Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 (32/64-bit)
  • CPU: Dual-core 2.0 GHz or better
  • RAM: 2 GB (4 GB recommended)
  • Extras: KKL/K-line interface with stable 12V supply

Tested on Windows 10 LTSC (2019); also runs on Windows 7/8/10/11.

Good practice
  • Keep a battery support/charger connected during communication.
  • Note the PIN securely; never share vehicle security data publicly.
