Quick intro
BAVCalc is a desktop utility for interpreting and editing automotive binary dumps used by SRS airbag modules, immobilisers, ECUs, dashboards and car radios. It helps with code calculation, crash data handling and configuration changes from saved EEPROM or flash files. Coverage spans multiple brands and module families.

Compatibility notes

Basic usage
  • Read the target module’s EEPROM or flash with your preferred programmer and save a backup
  • Open the dump in BAVCalc and select the matching brand and module family
  • Run the required calculator or data edit then review the preview values
  • Save the modified file and program it back to the unit
  • Verify operation on bench or in vehicle following standard safety practices

Minimum system requirements
Dual-core CPU, 2 GB RAM, 50 MB free storage, standard display, local administrator rights, offline capable; USB connectivity for your external programmer as needed
