Basic usage
- Install HU Tool on a Windows diagnostic laptop that already has a working EDIABAS and BMW Standard Tools or ESYS environment.
- Connect to the vehicle head unit over ICOM or ENET and confirm communication with your usual diagnostic software before opening HU Tool.
- Use the main tabs to access the required function for the current job, such as certificate workspace, head unit update projects, engineering console or map helper.
- When preparing USB based projects always follow the on screen notes for the selected head unit type and verify that the correct VIN and platform have been chosen.
- After finishing a session close HU Tool and recheck the head unit with your standard diagnostic toolset to confirm that all functions and coding remain as expected.
