The Essential Tool for Adapting Used Dash & EIS Modules on Sprinter/Crafter.

The user interface of the DASH EIS Tools for Sprinter and Crafter, a software for editing mileage, VIN, and synchronization data in the instrument cluster and electronic ignition switch.

DASH EIS Tools Sprinter Crafter V1 is a specialized free utility designed for working with the EEPROM data of the instrument cluster (Dash) and the electronic ignition switch (EIS) in Mercedes Sprinter and Volkswagen Crafter vans.

What Problem Does This Tool Solve?

When replacing a faulty instrument cluster or ignition switch with a used part, the vehicle's security system will reject the new module due to mismatched data (VIN, mileage, and synchronization data). This tool provides a simple interface to read the data from an EEPROM dump, modify it to match the original vehicle's data, and save it, allowing the used part to be correctly "married" to the vehicle.

Key Features

The tool is divided into two main sections for working with different modules:

1. DASH (Instrument Cluster) Functions:
  • Change Mileage (KM): Correct the mileage on a used cluster to match the vehicle's actual mileage.
  • Manage Synchronization Data: Read and manually enter "sincro ssid" and "SSID CKS" data to ensure the cluster is correctly synchronized with the rest of the vehicle.
2. EIS (Electronic Ignition Switch) Functions:
  • Change Mileage (KM): Synchronize the mileage stored in the EIS with the instrument cluster.
  • Change VIN (WIN): Write the correct vehicle VIN to the used EIS module.
  • Copy SSID: Easily copy the synchronization SSID from the EIS to be used in the instrument cluster for a perfect match.

How to Use
  1. Read the EEPROM: First, you must read the full EEPROM data from your Dash or EIS module using a compatible programmer.
  2. Load File in Tool: Open the software, select the correct module version, and load your EEPROM file by clicking "OPEN".
  3. Modify Data: Enter the new, correct data into the "NEW KM" or "NEW WIN" fields and click the corresponding "CHANGE" button.
  4. Save New File: Click the "SAVE" button to save the new, modified EEPROM file.
  5. Write Back to Module: Write the new, patched file back to your module using your EEPROM programmer.

System Requirements & Testing
  • Operating System: This software is Windows-based and has been tested on Windows 10 LTSC 2019.
  • Required Hardware: An EEPROM programmer capable of reading the memory from the Dash and EIS modules is required.

Disclaimer

This software is a powerful tool intended for legitimate professional and educational purposes, such as repairing your own vehicle.
