Quick intro
ServiceRanger 4.2 is Eaton’s service application for diagnosing, configuring and updating Eaton/Fuller automated and manual transmissions. It reads/clears faults, monitors live parameters, performs service routines and supports product software reflash with compatible RP1210/J2534 adapters.

Supported interfaces

• RP1210/J2534 pass-thru VCIs commonly used in heavy-duty (e.g., Eaton VCI, NEXIQ USB-Link 2/3, DG Tech DPA 5/XL, DrewTech, Cummins INLINE, etc.)
• Protocols: J1939 / J1708

Basic installation

• Run ServiceRanger4Install.exe and finish setup (don’t start the app yet).
• Run Database.exe to install data content.
• Use File Replacer.exe to place the included license/setup files.
• Launch ServiceRanger → connect your RP1210/J2534 adapter in Options → Port and Protocol and test communication.

Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 (64-bit recommended).

• CPU: 2-core, 2.0 GHz or better
• RAM: 4 GB+
• Storage: 3–5 GB free
• Display: 1366×768 or higher
• USB port and compatible RP1210/J2534 VCI

Notes
Antivirus may flag installer helpers; add exclusions if needed. Vehicle coverage and flash functions depend on model, ECU, and VCI capability.
