HardCut Limiter is a legacy Windows utility for offline work with ECU calibration files.
It reads the current RPM limiter value for supported ECU profiles and can export an updated file after a controlled change.
Use it only for evaluation and testing workflows where it is legal and appropriate.

HardCut Limiter 2.1.0 main interface for loading ECU files and viewing current and new RPM limiter values.

Highlights
  • Open and read supported ECU calibration files in an offline workflow
  • ECU profile selector with built-in coverage list for multiple OEM platforms
  • Displays the detected actual RPM limiter value from the loaded file
  • Allows setting a new RPM limiter value and saving an output file
  • Simple interface for quick checks during file preparation and documentation
  • Designed to be used together with professional tools that ensure correct checksum handling

Compatibility notes
This is an offline file utility and it does not diagnose a vehicle by itself.
Results depend on the ECU family, file type, and how the file was read.
Profile availability and behavior may differ between software versions and file variants.
Availability varies by ECU and software version.

Basic usage
  • Work only on a copy of the original file and keep the original unchanged
  • Open the tool, load the file, and select the matching ECU profile
  • Read the detected actual RPM limiter value for documentation
  • If an output is required, save the updated file as a new copy
  • Use only professional writing tools that support correct checksum handling and safe recovery methods

Operating systems
  • Windows 11 (64-bit, compatibility mode may be required)
  • Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit, legacy)
  • Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit, legacy)

Minimum system requirements
  • CPU: Dual-core 2.0 GHz or faster
  • RAM: 2 GB minimum, 4 GB recommended
  • Storage: 200 MB free space plus room for backups and exported files
  • Network: Not required
  • Admin rights: Recommended for setup and file access permissions
