The Professional's Tool for Disabling the Immobilizer on EDC17 & MED17 ECUs.

The main interface of IMMOFF17 v2.1162 by Neuro Tuning, a software tool designed to be an EEPROM immo disabler for EDC17 and MED17 ECUs, with functions for patching and checksum correction.

IMMOFF17 is a specialized software utility designed for one critical task: correctly disabling the factory immobilizer system within the EEPROM of Bosch EDC17 and MED17 engine control units. This tool is essential for a variety of advanced automotive procedures.

What Problem Does This Solve?

When performing an engine swap, replacing a faulty ECU with a used unit, or building a track car, the factory immobilizer system can prevent the engine from starting. The immobilizer data is stored deep within the ECU's EEPROM and requires a special patch to be correctly disabled.

IMMOFF17 automates this process. It reads your EEPROM file, applies a professional-grade "immo off" patch, corrects the necessary checksums, and ensures that no warning lights will appear on the dashboard after the procedure.

Key Features
  • Professional IMMO Patch: Correctly disables the immobilizer function within the EEPROM data.
  • Automatic Checksum Correction: Automatically calculates and corrects EEPROM checksums after patching, which is critical for the ECU to function correctly.
  • No Dashboard Errors: The patch is designed to prevent any "immo active" or related warning lights from appearing on the instrument cluster.
  • Multiple Functions: The tool can perform a full "IMMO OFF + Checksum" patch, a "Checksum Correction Only" function, or a direct "Flash IMMO OFF".

How to Use
  1. Read the EEPROM: First, you must read the full EEPROM data from your EDC17/MED17 ECU using a compatible bench programming tool (like KTAG, Flex, etc.).
  2. Load File in IMMOFF17: Open the software and load your original EEPROM file.
  3. Apply Patch: Select the desired function (e.g., "EEPROM * IMMO OFF + CHECKSUM CORRECTION").
  4. Save New File: Save the modified EEPROM file generated by the software.
  5. Write Back to ECU: Write the new, patched file back to your ECU using your bench programming tool.

Supported ECUs
  • Bosch EDC17 (all variants)
  • Bosch MED17 (all variants)

System Requirements & Testing
  • Operating System: This software is Windows-based and has been tested on Windows 10 LTSC 2019.
  • Required Hardware: An EEPROM programmer capable of reading/writing EDC17/MED17 ECUs is required.
