How to install SP-Daten (generic)
• Extract with 7-Zip. Keep folder names intact.
• NCS Expert: copy DATEN → NCSExpert\DATEN\{chassis} | SGDAT → NCSExpert\SGDAT | ECU → EDIABAS\ECU. Restart tools.
• WinKFP: WinKFP → Import → Import data → select SP-Daten source → finish wizard.
• ISTA/P workflows: use the release required by your process. Do not mix versions.
Connection checklist
• Interface: K-DCAN for most E-series, ENET for most F/G platforms.
• Drivers: FTDI for K-DCAN or updated NIC for ENET.
• K-DCAN COM port: set in OBD.ini, latency 1 ms.
• EDIABAS: Interface=STD:OBD (K-DCAN) or ENET per workflow.
• Use stable power during programming.
Verify integrity
• Compute SHA-256 in PowerShell:
• Compare with the checksum provided by the mirror.
• If 7-Zip shows errors, re-download. Avoid partial archives.
Version guidance
• E-series projects commonly align with v41–v60.
• F/G workflows usually require v60+.
• Prefer the release requested by ISTA/NCS/WinKFP. Mixing versions causes SGBD mismatches.
Troubleshooting
• No ECU response: check interface type, COM/NIC, ignition on, correct chassis folder in DATEN.
• Coding job fails: confirm matching SP-Daten version and full copy of ECU/SGDAT.
• WinKFP import errors: run as admin, shorten path, re-extract archive.

Tested on Windows 10 LTSC (2019). Works on Windows 7/8/10/11.
