What are SP-Daten files?
SP-Daten (Spool-Daten) are the factory data packages containing coding definitions and programming files that BMW engineering tools use to communicate with ECUs on E-series cars. They’re the E-series equivalent of PSdZData for F/G-series. Keeping them on v74.0 ensures the widest ECU coverage and access to the latest ZUSB software levels.

Installation Guide (NCS Expert / WinKFP / Tool32)
Extract the main archive.
Auto method: open
Coding Tool → Update SP-Daten → point to the extracted chassis folder. The tool copies files into
C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN, C:\EC-APPS\NFS\SGDAT, C:\EDIABAS\ECU.Manual method: copy DATEN →
\NCSEXPER\DATEN, SGDAT + ECU → \EC-APPS\NFS, PRG (if present) → \EDIABAS\ECU.Launch NCS Expert (select chassis) / WinKFP (regenerate ECU list) / Tool32 (verify .PRG presence).

Troubleshooting
• IFH-0009 — check EDIABAS interface (STD:OBD vs ENET), correct COM/latency.
• COAPI-2000/2020 — re-copy chassis DATEN, pick the correct chassis profile in NCS.
• WinKFP shows old ZUSB list — replace
\NFS\SGDAT & \NFS\ECU, then restart WinKFP.• Stable power supply (13.8V/30A) is mandatory for programming.
System Requirements & Testing
• Works on any Windows that runs BMW Standard Tools; tested on Windows 10 LTSC 2019.
• Required: a working install of NCS Expert / WinKFP / Tool32 (EDIABAS).
Checksums
