Easily Package and Transfer All Necessary Files for Remote BMW Coding & Flashing.
We are excited to release the SVT Extractor & Importer Suite v1.0, a pair of powerful new utilities designed to solve one of the biggest challenges in remote BMW coding: missing PSdZData files. This free toolkit allows technicians to seamlessly package, transfer, and install all necessary files for a specific vehicle, making remote work faster and more reliable.
What Problem Does This Tool Suite Solve?
When working on a remote BMW, the technician performing the coding often does not have the complete, massive PSdZData library. If the customer's car requires specific files that are missing on the technician's PC, E-Sys will throw errors, and programming is impossible.
This tool suite eliminates that problem. The Extractor "packages" all required files based on the car's SVT, and the Importer allows the remote technician to install them with a single click.
Part 1: SVT Extractor v1.0
The Extractor is designed for the PC that has the full PSdZData library. Its purpose is to read an SVT file and intelligently export only the files required for that specific car configuration.
Key Features:
- Load SVT Files: Open and parse both SVT_Actual (from the car) and SVT_Target files.
- Compare SVTs: The tool can check for differences between actual and target configurations, showing you exactly what will be updated.
- Comprehensive File Export: It detects every ECU in the SVT and exports all associated files (BTLD, SWFL, CAFD, etc.) from your main PSdZData folder into a clean, transportable folder.
Part 2: SVT Importer v1.0
The Importer is designed for the receiving technician (the one with the incomplete PSdZData). Its purpose is to take the folder created by the Extractor and install the files correctly.
Key Features:
- Simple Interface: Just select the folder with the exported data and your target E-Sys Data folder.
- One-Click Import: Press one button, and the tool automatically copies all BTLD, CAFD, FLSL, IBAD, SWFK, and SWFL files into their correct subdirectories.
- Instant Readiness: After the import, your E-Sys is ready for coding and flashing without any "file not found" errors.
Typical Workflow (for Remote Work)
- Technician 1 (with full PSdZData) receives the `SVT_Actual.xml` from the remote car.
- Use SVT Extractor to load the SVT and export all required files into a new folder.
- Compress this new folder and send it to Technician 2.
- Technician 2 uses SVT Importer to install the files into their `C:\Data` folder.
- Remote coding and flashing can now begin without any missing file errors.
