Quick take
VAG Virtual Cockpit Tool is a Windows utility for MQB-platform clusters (Audi/VW/Škoda/SEAT). It identifies modules, reads/writes EEPROM, handles key/ID data reads, and performs service interval operations—purpose-built for bench/off-road engineering and authorized workshop tasks. ✨

VAG Virtual Cockpit Tool vFinal main window with Identify, Read/Write EEPROM, SRI reset and MQB VW/Audi mileage alignment buttons

Toolkit
IdentifyDetects MQB cluster, protocol and basic IDs
Read/Write EEPROMBackup/restore supported EEPROM areas
Read KeysPull key-related data where supported
SID / ESI / SRISet SID, set ESI (distance/time), and Service Reminder reset
Target mileage (authorized use)Cluster value alignment after replacement; PQ / MQB VW / MQB Audi buttons
Wake-up helpersAudi wakeup and VW wakeup for stable comms
LoggingOptional session log for reports and troubleshooting

Coverage
MQB clusters used in Audi (A3/TT/Q2 and related), Volkswagen (Golf/Passat/Polo/Tiguan, etc.), Škoda and SEAT models—coverage depends on the specific cluster hardware/flash.

Workflow
  1. Choose bus speed → tick Enable Logging.
  2. Press Identify to confirm communication and protocol.
  3. Use Read EEPROM / Write EEPROM for safe backups or restoration.
  4. Apply Set SID / Set ESI / SRI: Reset as needed for service operations.
  5. For cluster alignment after replacement, use the appropriate Target Mileage function (PQ / MQB VW / MQB Audi) where legally permitted.

Requirements & tips
  • Compatible CAN/UDS interface (OBD bench or breakout) and stable 12–14 V supply
  • Always save a full EEPROM backup before changes
  • Use wake-up helpers if the cluster sleeps during operations

Platform support
Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10 / 11.
Tested on Windows 10 LTSC (2019); also verified on current Windows 11 builds.

Minimum system requirements
  • CPU: Dual-core 2.0 GHz or better
