A crank/no-start condition after replacing a GPEC2A ECU is standard behavior because the replacement ECU is not synchronized with your vehicle's SKIM/WCM module. The immobilizer is active.

You likely do not need a full "skim disable" (immo off), which is very difficult to achieve on GPEC2A hardware without opening the ECU and using specialized tuning tools.

Instead, you need to perform a SKIM Synchronization or "PCM Replaced" routine.

To do this, you will absolutely need the vehicle's 4-digit PIN code.

Regarding this APNT utility: It is not an "immo off" tool. However, it *might* have the capability to perform the SKIM reset/synchronization routine if you have the correct PIN code for the car. You would need to check the specific functions available in the software once you get it running.

Yes, exactly. The PIN code you read from the RFH module is the master vehicle PIN.

Since you have successfully added a key with it, we know the PIN is correct.

You now need to use that same PIN to run a "PCM Replaced" or "SKIM Synchronization" routine with a diagnostic tool. This process introduces the new GPEC2A ECU to the existing RFH module and keys so the vehicle will start.
