APNT Chrysler VIN and SKIM Service Utility for J2534 Pass-Thru

2024 build – J2534 pass-thru workflow for VIN editing, SRI mileage updates, and SKIM status manageme

APNT is a compact Chrysler bench and workshop utility built around a J2534 Pass-Thru connection. It focuses on service operations commonly needed during ECU replacement, module matching, and authorized vehicle identity updates, including VIN read and write, SRI mileage handling, and SKIM status management.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Windows version is recommended?
For maximum stability during ECU flashing and diagnostics, a clean installation of Windows 10 (64-bit) is recommended.
Is it compatible with J2534 PassThru?
Most modern software versions support standard J2534 interfaces like Scanmatik 2 Pro, OpenPort 2.0, and specific VCI adapters.

i want to get immo off software

Thanks for joining the discussion.

Just a quick heads-up regarding your request: this specific APNT utility is designed for VIN editing, SRI mileage updates, and SKIM status management (like resetting or synchronizing modules) via J2534 pass-thru.

It is generally not a full "immo off" solution. Performing a true immo off usually requires specialized software to modify the ECU's flash dump directly, depending heavily on the specific engine controller hardware you are working with. This tool likely won't achieve a permanent removal of the immobilizer function.

I understand you are in a hurry, but as a forum member, I cannot send files via email.

You must download the software directly from the resource link provided in the first post of this thread.

If the forum system is requiring you to wait 24 hours, that is likely a restriction for new accounts to prevent spam. Unfortunately, regular members cannot bураss these system rules. You will need to wait until your account permissions allow downloading.

r i know ,thank for your answering

You're welcome.

It's frustrating to wait when you need a tool immediately. Once the 24-hour period passes and you are able to download the utility, feel free to post back here if you have any questions about setting it up with your J2534 device.

i replace new gpec2a ec,it can crank but no start ,so i need to skim disable

A crank/no-start condition after replacing a GPEC2A ECU is standard behavior because the replacement ECU is not synchronized with your vehicle's SKIM/WCM module. The immobilizer is active.

You likely do not need a full "skim disable" (immo off), which is very difficult to achieve on GPEC2A hardware without opening the ECU and using specialized tuning tools.

Instead, you need to perform a SKIM Synchronization or "PCM Replaced" routine.

To do this, you will absolutely need the vehicle's 4-digit PIN code.

Regarding this APNT utility: It is not an "immo off" tool. However, it *might* have the capability to perform the SKIM reset/synchronization routine if you have the correct PIN code for the car. You would need to check the specific functions available in the software once you get it running.

you mean the code is the pin fron rfh module?i have been read the pin code and add one key

you mean the code is the pin fron rfh module?i have been read the pin code and add one key

Yes, exactly. The PIN code you read from the RFH module is the master vehicle PIN.

Since you have successfully added a key with it, we know the PIN is correct.

You now need to use that same PIN to run a "PCM Replaced" or "SKIM Synchronization" routine with a diagnostic tool. This process introduces the new GPEC2A ECU to the existing RFH module and keys so the vehicle will start.

how to unlock bmw mgu lock 2020 model

This thread is specifically for the APNT Chrysler utility and Chrysler-related issues.

Your question about a 2020 BMW MGU lock is completely off-topic here. Please post your question in the appropriate BMW diagnostic section of the forum to get the correct help.

how to setup apnt software after download please guide to me step by step

Here is the general setup process once you have downloaded the file:

  1. Install J2534 Drivers: Before doing anything with the APNT tool, ensure the drivers for your specific J2534 interface (e.g., DrewTech Mongoose, Autel MaxiFlash, Tactrix Openport) are fully installed on your laptop and the device is connected via USB. Windows needs to recognize the device first.
  2. Extract Files: If the download is a ZIP or RAR archive, extract all contents to a folder on your desktop. Do not try to run it directly from inside the ZIP file.
  3. Run as Administrator: Right-click the main APNT executable file (.exe) and select "Run as administrator". This is often necessary for hardware access.
  4. Select Interface: Once the software opens, look for a dropdown menu or button usually labeled "Select Device" or "J2534 Settings". Click it and select your specific J2534 tool from the list of available interfaces.
  5. Connect to Vehicle: Connect your J2534 interface to the vehicle's OBDII port. Turn the ignition to the ON/RUN position (do not crank the engine).
  6. Test Connection: Try a simple function first, like reading the current VIN, to verify the tool is communicating with the vehicle correctly before attempting any write operations.

what module can be do with that on dodge ram

Based on the tool's name and typical functionality for this type of specialized J2534 utility, it is not a full-system scanner. It is focused specifically on modules related to vehicle identification and security.

On a Dodge Ram, its primary targets would be:

  • PCM/ECM (Powertrain/Engine Control Module): For writing the VIN to a replacement unit and performing SKIM synchronization (introducing the new ECU to the immobilizer system).
  • WCM / WIN / RFH (Immobilizer Modules): Depending on the year of the Ram, it needs to communicate with the Wireless Control Module, Wireless Ignition Node, or Radio Frequency Hub to perform SKIM resets or related security functions.

It is unlikely to perform general diagnostics or coding on other modules like ABS, Airbag, or Body controllers. It is designed primarily for VIN changes and immobilizer synchronization tasks.
