This is a "must-have" utility for anyone working on older VAG TDI platforms (Golf Mk4, Passat B5, etc.). For those trying to use this for the first time, here are a few critical points to remember regarding the hardware setup:

  • Interface: You generally need a simple K-Line (KKL) interface (often sold as "blue" VAG-COM 409.1 cables with the FTDI chip). This tool usually does not work with ELM327 or standard J2534 PassThru devices.
  • Compatibility: It covers EDC15P (PD engines) and EDC15V/VM+ (Rotary pump).
  • OS: If you are on Windows 10 or 11, make sure to run the executable as Administrator, otherwise it might fail to initialize the COM port correctly.

Does this version include the fix for the EDC15VM+ write timeout that was present in some of the older 1.1/1.2 builds?

Safety Tip: Always save a backup of the original EEPROM (.bin) before attempting to change the mileage or toggle Immo status.
