Passthru SDconnect Switch Tool for Xentry Connection Mode

2025.11 build. Fast mode toggle, Xentry ready, registry-based switching.

Passthru SDconnect Switch Tool is a lightweight helper for Mercedes-Benz diagnostic environments where you need to alternate between J2534 PassThru and SDconnect (MUX) communication modes. It is designed for workshop PCs running Xentry and DAS, where adapter selection can depend on registry profiles and local configuration files.

New release thread for Passthru SDconnect Switch Tool for Xentry Connection Mode: discuss, share fee...

Thanks for the share! This is a massive time saver. Manually editing config files or swapping bin folders every time I need to switch between my SDConnect C4 and the Openport 2.0 is a hassle.

Quick question regarding the implementation: Does this tool only swap the cal.ini and slave.ini files, or does it also handle the PDU API registry keys required for the newer Xentry versions (2023/2024)?

Tip for anyone installing:
Make sure you run the tool as Administrator. Windows permissions will usually block the tool from modifying files inside the Xentry directory if you don't have elevated privileges.

Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mercedes-Benz\Xentry\bin\

I'll give this a test on my 2024.09 setup and report back.
