Any experience using this? Mainly wanting it because the newest version does something to lock files from certain bin converters. Also heard modded versions like this could get your device banned.

صحيح، الحذر واجب جداً عند التعامل مع هذه النسخ.

كما أشار الأعضاء، هناك مخاطرة حقيقية بتعرض واجهة MPVI للحظر (Ban) من قبل خوادم HP Tuners إذا تم اكتشاف استخدام نسخة غير شرعية.

للحماية، تأكد دائماً من اتباع هذه الخطوات:
  • افصل الإنترنت تماماً أثناء الاستخدام.
  • قم بحظر ملفات VCM Editor.exe و VCM Scanner.exe من الاتصال بالإنترنت عن طريق الجدار الناري (Firewall).
  • لا تقم بتحديث البرنامج أو الواجهة (Firmware) أثناء استخدام هذه النسخة.

هذا الإصدار 5.1 مفيد لأنه لا يحتوي على تشفير الملفات الجديد الموجود في الإصدارات الأحدث، مما يسهل التعامل مع ملفات الـ BIN، لكن الأمان يأتي أولاً.

Glad it helps.

Just a quick technical note regarding this specific version (5.1.198) for anyone downloading:

  • This is considered the last "golden" version before HP Tuners introduced stricter encryption on .hpt files.
  • It is excellent if you need to use binary editors or 3rd party tools, but keep in mind it will not have the definition support for newer vehicles (2021+) that the latest VCM Suite has.

As mentioned above, keep your interface offline to avoid any hardware locking issues.

Yeah, absolutely.

For anyone new to doing this, don't just rely on unplugging the ethernet cable. You'll eventually forget. Set up a permanent block so you don't accidentally brick your interface:

  • Open Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security.
  • Click Outbound Rules on the left.
  • Click New Rule... on the right.
  • Choose Program and browse to your installation folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\HP Tuners\VCM Suite).
  • Select VCM Editor.exe and choose Block the connection.
  • Repeat the steps for VCM Scanner.exe.

Once that is done, you can leave your internet on without worrying about the software phoning home and blacklisting your MPVI sеriаl number.

تويوتا تكستريم (Techstream) برنامج مختلف تماماً عن البرنامج المطروح في هذا الموضوع.

للتوضيح:
  • Toyota Techstream: هو برنامج الوكالة المخصص لتشخيص الأعطال (Diagnostics)، قراءة البيانات الحية، وبرمجة المفاتيح والكنترولات لسيارات تويوتا ولكزس.
  • HP Tuners: هو برنامج مخصص لتعديل الأداء (Tuning/Remapping)، مثل فتح السرعة، تعديل المراوح، وتغيير جداول الوقود والشرارة.

صحيح أن HP Tuners يدعم تعديل سيارات تويوتا، لكن هذه النسخة القديمة (5.1.198) غالباً لا تدعم سيارات تويوتا بشكل جيد، حيث أن دعم تويوتا القوي بدأ مع الإصدارات الأحدث وواجهات MPVI2 التي تتطلب اتصالاً بالإنترنت ونقاط (Credits).

إذا كنت تبحث عن تحميل Techstream، يفضل البحث في قسم برامج تويوتا في المنتدى وليس هنا.

Check the first post of this thread. The download link is usually attached there, often inside a .txt file.

Make sure to disable your antivirus before downloading, as the раtсh/kеуgеn often triggers a false positive.
