MULTIMEDIA SYSTEMS

• LIVE maps are exclusively compatible with MGU (Media Graphic Unit) head units.
• Hardware compatibility includes BMW Operating System 7 (iDrive 7) and Operating System 8 / 8.5 (iDrive 8).
• Targeted systems: BMW Live Cockpit Professional or BMW Live Cockpit Plus.
• Interface characteristics: Fully digital instrument cluster and a modern widget-based home screen menu.
• Note: Systems utilizing NBT EVO (iDrive 6) or older require different map series (EVO, NEXT, ROUTE, WAY), not LIVE.

Since BMW transitioned to the MGU system gradually, the exact month of production is critical for some models:

• 1 Series (F40): from 2019.
• 2 Series: F44 (Gran Coupé) from 2020, G42 (Coupé) from 2021, U06 (Active Tourer) from 2021.
• 3 Series (G20, G21, G28, G80 M3): from 2018.
• 4 Series (G22, G23, G26, G82 M4, G83): from 2020.
• 5 Series (G30, G31, F90 M5): strictly from June 2019.
• 6 Series (G32 Gran Turismo): strictly from June 2019.
• 7 Series (G11, G12): strictly from February 2019 (LCI models); new G70 from launch.
• 8 Series (G14, G15, G16, F91/F92/F93 M8): from 2018.
• X3 / X4 (G01, G02): from 07/2019; X3 M / X4 M (F97, F98): from 04/2020.
• iX3 (G08): strictly from 09/2019.
• X5 / X5 M (G05, F95): strictly from 2018.
• X6 / X6 M (G06, F96): strictly from 2019.
• X7 (G07): strictly from 2018.
• iX (I20): strictly from 2021.
• Z4 (G29): strictly from 2018.
