Good evening,

The Stage 1 file available here is a proper NA calibration for the 3.2 V6 ME7.1.1 — it does not include pop & bang (overrun crackle/burble).

A few points to consider:

  • On a naturally aspirated 3.2 V6, pop & bang involves deliberate enrichment during deceleration and significant ignition retard on overrun. It is possible on ME7.1.1 (deceleration fuel cut maps, ignition angles in Schubabschaltung), but it falls outside the scope of a standard Stage 1.
  • This type of modification increases thermal stress on the catalytic converter and exhaust valves — on an NA engine without a turbo to “cool” the gases, it is more aggressive than one might think.
  • If you still want to explore this option, you would need to request a custom calibration from the seller (Bin) and specify exactly what you are looking for (a mild burble on lift-off or more pronounced crackle).

So they can assess feasibility, tell them:
  • Your exact ECU number (022906032CB / 0261208088 or another reference)
  • Whether you have a modified exhaust (decat, sport exhaust system, etc.)
  • The desired intensity level
