• Maintenance release with no major new functions or coverage changes reported.

The password is generally indicated on the resource's main page, in the Overview tab, just below the software description.

If it isn't there, check the following:

• The author may have asked you to send a Private Message (PM) to request the password after giving "Thanks" and "Reputation".
• Check whether there is a text file in the download file list (e.g.: password.txt or readme.txt).
• Try using the forum name as the password, as it is sometimes the default.

Take another look at the text of the first post; the instruction is usually highlighted in red or bold.

Scania SDP3 is not natively compatible with Scanmatik 3.

The software is designed exclusively to work with Scania's official interfaces:

• Scania VCI2
• Scania VCI3

Scanmatik 3 is an excellent multi-brand adapter for trucks (it works very well with Jaltest, for example), but it does not emulate the proprietary protocol that SDP3 uses to communicate with Scania's VCI interfaces.

What options do you have?

1. Get a VCI3 (or quality clone) — This is the only reliable way to use SDP3 with all its functions (diagnostics, programming, parameter adjustment). Chinese clones are available at reasonable prices and work well with SDP3.
2. Use other software with Scanmatik 3 — If you only need basic diagnostics (lectura/borrado of DTCs, live data) on Scania trucks, you can use software that does support Scanmatik, such as Jaltest or Launch X431 HD, although they will not reach the same level of depth as SDP3.

In summary: you need a VCI2 or VCI3 for SDP3; there is no known workaround to make it work with Scanmatik 3.

That usually means the download counter was consumed even though the file transfer failed — on XenForo the hit is registered when the download request starts, not when it completes, so a broken or interrupted transfer still burns one from your daily/group quota.

A few things worth checking before anything else:

• Did the browser start the file and then stop, or did you get an error page straight away? A stalled transfer usually points to a download manager / proxy / VPN dropping the session.
• Try again from a plain browser window with no download accelerator or extension active, and don't refresh the download page — each reload can count as a new attempt.
• Confirm you were still logged in when you clicked; a session timeout mid-download will fail the transfer but the click can still register.

The download quota itself is not something I can reset from this thread. For that you need to contact Bin or an admin directly — post in the support section or send a PM with your username, the resource (Scania SDP3 2.68.2.5), and roughly the time and date of the failed attempt so they can match it in the logs and restore the credit.

One thing to keep in mind for the retry: the SDP3 package is large, so make sure you have the free disk space and a stable connection before you spend another attempt. The archive password is on the Overview tab of the resource page, below the description — grab it before you start so you aren't stuck afterwards.
