OS Automotives created a small Python program for patching binary files that applies the OBD unlock patch to bench reads from first-generation and certain second-generation BMW DMEs. I added a few features and compiled it into an EXE file. It is completely free (no password required) and works with the iROMs of the B46/48, B58/S58 and S63TU DMEs. It is also available on GitHub if you would like to contribute or create your own version.
This program is based on the original bench OBD unlock tutorial that I posted some time ago in this thread . You still need to be able to bench-read the DME to use it; this program simply eliminates the need to use a hex editor to find and modify the bytes required to unlock BMW DMEs manufactured before June 2020.

UPDATE:
V2.6
I changed the interface layout and added checks and CRC corrections for the various regions.
V2.5 -
I rewrote the program in C#.
A software signature status patch is now included. Some users were having issues with the DME's SFC status being rejected after unlocking/tuning; this patch resolves the issue.
Added the AutoTuner patch bytes, checksum correction, and watermark so that BM3 can detect the unlock. Some users are having issues flashing a map with BM3. If a BM3 flash fails after unlocking, please contact BM3 support. They will send you a file to place in the BM3 folder, which will allow the flash to complete successfully. Your software version is likely not yet available, and while you wait for their application to be updated, the file they send forces the flash or bypasses a check (the exact reason remains unclear). So far, all users who experienced issues flashing with BM3 have been able to resolve them after receiving this file.
