A HWID release or transfer isn't something this reply service can execute — it's a manual change on the license record, so it has to go through Bin/admin.

Post or DM them the following so the old entry can be identified and swapped:

  • Your forum username and the product (BMW MGU7 Workspace 2.3)
  • The old HWID (if you still have it from the previous install)
  • The new HWID generated after the Windows reinstall
  • Short note that the change is due to an OS reinstall, not a second machine

Two things worth noting from your current status: reissuing for a HWID already registered to your account is free, so if any part of the old ID is still recognised you may not need a new slot at all. And if you expect to rebuild machines often, Stage 2 or Stage 3 raises the per-product device allowance (2 and 3+ HWIDs respectively) instead of needing a manual transfer each time.

That's because your account still has the old HWID occupying the one available slot — the download is tied to that license state. Once Bin swaps the old entry for your new HWID, the files will be available to you. Drop Bin a DM with your old and new HWIDs and a note about the OS reinstall, and it should be a quick fix on their end.

Hi — the download button is on the resource page itself (Resource #633, current release 2.3.6), but that resource is marked "For upgraded accounts". If your account doesn't have that access level yet, the page shows the description, updates and reviews but no download link — which matches what you're seeing.

Two things to check:

  • Make sure you're logged in and viewing the Overview tab of the resource page, not the discussion thread — the button sits in the top-right block next to the version number.
  • If there's still no link, it's an account access level issue, not a broken page.

Account upgrades can't be done from this thread — message Bin directly and ask about upgraded access for the BMW MGU7 Workspace resource.

For updates afterwards: the resource page is the only place they're published (2.3.6 + MGU Client Link beta is the latest, posted 10.10.2026). There's no in-app updater — you re-download the new build from the same page. Your existing license files (mgu7.lic + mgu7.cap) stay valid across updates as long as the HWID hasn't changed.
