Airbag Clear File Creator v2.01 is a small Windows utility designed to help workshops and dump editors build reusable “clear file” templates for SRS airbag ECUs.
The program compares a crash dump with a known good dump from the same module and generates a clear-file definition that can be reused on future repairs of identical units.

The tool does not contain a fixed database of supported SRS modules.
Instead, it can be used with almost any airbag ECU where:
Coverage therefore depends on the crash/clear pairs you build for your own library – common targets include Bosch, Continental, TRW, Autoliv and similar SRS units used across many European, Asian and US brands.

The program compares a crash dump with a known good dump from the same module and generates a clear-file definition that can be reused on future repairs of identical units.
Highlights
- Creates clear-file templates from matched crash BIN and clear BIN files of the same airbag module
- Supports typical SRS ECUs that store crash data in EEPROM or MCU flash from brands such as Bosch, Continental, TRW, Autoliv and others
- Simple workflow with separate fields for crash file, clear file and the name of the new clear file
- Built in file size test to make sure both BIN dumps are compatible before processing
- Info-file generator where you can document EEPROM type, chip mask, programmer, lift-pin notes and author
- Lightweight standalone executable that can be used alongside any EEPROM programmer or dump editing software
Package contents
- Airbag Clear File Creator v2.01 Windows application
- Configuration and support files stored in the same working folder
- Example info fields inside the program to document each created clear file
- Basic on screen workflow description in the main window
Compatibility notes
The tool does not contain a fixed database of supported SRS modules.
Instead, it can be used with almost any airbag ECU where:
- Crash data is stored in a readable BIN dump (EEPROM or MCU flash)
- You have a matching “clear” BIN from the same part number and memory type
- Both dumps are exactly the same size
Coverage therefore depends on the crash/clear pairs you build for your own library – common targets include Bosch, Continental, TRW, Autoliv and similar SRS units used across many European, Asian and US brands.
Basic usage
- Read the crash dump and a known good clear dump from the same airbag ECU using your preferred programmer
- Start Airbag Clear File Creator v2.01 and load the crash BIN file and clear BIN file into the dedicated fields
- Enter a meaningful name for the new clear file and run the file size test to confirm both dumps match
- Click “Make Clear File” to generate the clear-file template and save it in your working folder
- Use the Info File section to record EEPROM type, chip mask, programmer and any wiring or lift pin notes for future reference
- Apply the generated clear file in your usual dump editing workflow when repairing the same module type in the future
Operating systems
- Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
- Typically used on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10
- May also run on newer Windows builds when standard .NET and Visual C++ runtimes are present
Minimum system requirements
- 1 GHz or faster x86/x64 processor
- 2 GB of RAM or more
- At least 50 MB of free disk space for the program and saved BIN files
- Screen resolution 1024 x 768 or higher
- A compatible EEPROM / MCU programmer for reading and writing SRS dumps (not included)
