CAS1 Editor v1.1 - Critical Key Function Update

Introducing the updated CAS1 Editor v1.1, a powerful and free software utility for the automotive community. This new version focuses on stability and reliability, delivering critical fixes for key-related functions.

What's New in Version 1.1?

This is an important update that addresses key programming and calculation issues reported by users.
  • Urgent Key Function Fixed: A critical issue related to key functions has been resolved.
  • "Remote HI" Fixed: The problem affecting the "Remote HI" value calculation has been corrected.
  • Key Calculator Fixed: The internal key calculator has been totally fixed for reliable key data generation.
Key Features:
  • Edit ISN: Easily read and write the Individual Serial Number (ISN) to synchronize the CAS module with the engine control unit (ECU).
  • Change VIN: Modify the 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) stored in the CAS module, essential when adapting a used unit to a new vehicle.
  • Mileage Correction: Reset or change the mileage value stored in the EEPROM.
  • Key Management: View the status of all 10 key slots, now with improved calculation reliability.
Supported CAS1 Modules & Processors:

This tool is designed to work with dumps from the following CAS1 processors (masksets) and EEPROM sizes:
  • 4KB EEPROM Dumps: for modules with 2K79X and 0L01Y (MC9S12DG128/256) processors.
  • 2KB EEPROM Dumps: for modules with 0K50E (MC68HC912DG128A) processors.
Compatible EEPROM Programmers:

To read the data from your CAS1 module and write it back, you will need a compatible hardware programmer. Commonly used programmers for this job include:
  • XPROG-M
  • UPA-S (UPA-USB)
  • Orange5
  • VVDI Prog
  • R270+
How to Use:
  1. Read the EEPROM data from your CAS1 module using a compatible programmer.
  2. Click "Open File" in the CAS1 Editor and load your saved dump file.
  3. Use the dedicated "Change" or "Reset" buttons to modify the ISN, VIN, or Mileage.
  4. Click "Save" to save the modified EEPROM file.
  5. Write the new, modified file back to your CAS1 module using your programmer.
Disclaimer: This is a powerful tool intended for educational and legitimate repair purposes. Always create and verify a backup of your original EEPROM file before making any changes. The user is fully responsible for their use of this software. Modifying a vehicle's mileage may be illegal in your country or region.
