For MBUX NTG6, enabling Apple CarPlay and Android Auto depends heavily on the current firmware / I-Level of the headunit (HU_MBUX).
- On older firmware versions: It can often be done via coding using Vediamo or DTS Monaco (unlocking developer mode, changing variant coding parameters like Apple_CarPlay and Android_Auto to active, and performing a headunit hard reset).
- On newer firmware versions: Pure coding usually isn't enough anymore because the system blocks it without the proper enabling codes (FSC) or security gateway certificates. In those cases, a modified certificate patch or firmware downgrade/update is required.
It's definitely doable, but you always need to check the exact software version on the HU first
