Short answer: No, this file will not work for your 2007 X3 3.0.

Even though both cars use a 3.0L N52 engine, there are critical differences:

  • This file is for a specific MSV80 ECU with hardware/software number 0049QK0MI20SMDU2S — matched to the 125i E87 (2009, automatic).
  • The 2007 X3 (E83) 3.0i/3.0si uses a different ECU calibration with its own HW/SW identifiers, different torque maps, different transmission integration (your manual vs. this file's auto), and different vehicle-specific parameters (weight, axle ratio, CAN messaging, etc.).
  • Flashing this file onto your X3 ECU could cause serious drivability issues or a no-start condition.

What you need to do:

To find the correct tuning file for your X3, provide the following:
  • Exact model — X3 3.0i or 3.0si?
  • ECU type — MSV70 or MSV80?
  • Your ECU HW/SW number (read from the ECU label or via ISTA/tool)
