Hi! I downloaded the resetter tool, but the problem is, it does not detect e sys even though i have ...

That's a common issue. The EGS Resetter looks for E-Sys in a specific location — it checks for the default installation path and/or the PSdZData folder structure in a particular directory.

Here are a few things to check:

  • Default installation path: Make sure your E-Sys is installed in the standard directory, typically
    Code:
    C:\EC-Apps\ESG\E-Sys
or similar. The tool most likely scans for this exact path rather than searching your whole system.
  • PSdZData folder: The tool specifically verifies you have a valid PSdZData folder. Make sure your PSdZData is located inside (or properly linked to) your E-Sys installation directory — not stored separately somewhere else.
  • Don't move the tool around: Placing the resetter inside the E-Sys folder or on the desktop won't help — the tool searches for E-Sys by its expected install path, not relative to where the .exe sits.
  • Run as Administrator: Right-click the resetter and select Run as administrator. Without elevated privileges it may fail to read certain registry keys or protected directories that point to the E-Sys installation.
  • Check your E-Sys version: Which version of E-Sys are you running, and where exactly is it installed? Post the full path (e.g.
    Code:
    C:\EC-Apps\...
    or
    Code:
    D:\BMW\E-Sys\...
) so we can narrow it down.

If none of the above works, share a screenshot of your E-Sys installation folder structure and the error/message the resetter gives you — that will make it much easier to pinpoint the issue.
