ELockr ECU File Status Checker for TPROT and OBD Lock#

2.0.0.0 – Read ECU file status for TPROT and OBD lock indicators before service writing

ELockr is a legacy Windows utility designed for offline inspection of ECU files.
It loads a file and displays status indicators related to protection flags such as TPROT and OBD lock, helping you document the file state before any service work.
This post is shared as a read-only reference tool and is not intended to guide bypassing protections.

If you downloaded the file from the link provided in the first post (BinUnlock), the password for the archive is typically the domain name of the source site.

Try these common passwords for this specific release:
Code:
binunlock.com
binunlock

Regarding your comment "son demos no sirven de nada" (they are demos, they are useless):

It is important to understand what this tool actually does. Despite the filename in your attachment being ELockr TPROT OFF.exe, the software description explicitly states it is a File Status Checker, not a TPROT remover.

  • Function: It scans the binary to see IF TPROT (Tuning Protection) is active.
  • Limitation: It does NOT patch the file, remove the RSA signature check, or unlock the OBD read/write capability.

If you are trying to write a MOD file to an EDC17 or MED17 ECU listed in the coverage (like EDC17CP14 or MED17.5), this tool will only tell you that the file is protected. It will not fix it for you.

To actually bypass TPROT ("TPROT OFF"), you typically need:
1. Boot Mode / Bench Read: To get a full backup including the password.
2. Checksum/Patch: A tool like WinOLS with the correct checksum module, or a flash tool (K-Tag, PCMFlash, AutoTuner) that applies the TPROT patch automatically during the write process.

This utility is just for reference to check the state of a file before you start working. It is not a "demo" version of a paid tool; it is simply a read-only utility.
