VERY GOOD

I'm glad you liked it! It really is an essential tool for anyone working with key programming or module replacement (PATS) on Ford, Mazda, and Jaguar vehicles.

Just a technical note to add:

  • This calculator works perfectly for the older security system (4- or 8-digit algorithm).
  • For newer vehicles (generally post-2012), Ford changed the security system, and this generator may not work, requiring online access or more advanced diagnostic tools.

Good work!

Thank you

You're welcome.

Since you are using this tool, here is a critical tip regarding the Ford PATS system:

Do not cycle the ignition key (turn it off and on) after reading the Outcode from the vehicle.

The Outcode is generated randomly during each ignition cycle. If you read the Outcode, then turn the key OFF to go to your computer to use this calculator, the vehicle will generate a new Outcode when you turn the key back ON. The Incode you calculated will then be invalid.

  • Keep the ignition ON (or the diagnostic session active) while you calculate the Incode.
  • Enter the Incode immediately into your diagnostic tool (IDS, Forscan, etc.).

This prevents the "Incorrect Incode" error that many users encounter.

Will Outcode/Incode Calculator v4.0 work on Win7 ???

Yes, version 4.0 should work just fine on Windows 7 (x32 or x64).

Although the release description lists Windows 10 as the tested system, the architecture of this software is fairly old, and on Win7 it often behaves even more stably, since the "Defender" (Windows Defender) there is less aggressive compared to Win10/11.

Startup recommendations:
  • Be sure to run the program as administrator (Right-click -> Run as Administrator).
  • If the program does not open or gives an initialization error, check whether you have .NET Framework 3.5 or 4.0 installed. On clean Win7 builds, these libraries are sometimes missing.
  • Disable antivirus for the duration of unpacking and launching. Such calculators often contain packers, which antivirus software flags as a false threat.

I used to have free access to the calculator via the internet, but after 2022 access to this site was closed. I constantly repair Ford vehicles. Sometimes I have to work with the immobilizer module. For this, I have to contact a third-party programmer. But I don't like how he does it. He creates clones. And I want to do it properly - two different keys

I used to have free access to the calculator over the internet, but after 2022 access to this site ...

I fully support your approach. Chip cloning (copying the ID of one key to another) is really a "crutch". The car sees both keys as the same one. If the client loses one key and you make a clone from the second, the old (lost) key will still remain in the ECU memory, and the car could still be stolen.

The correct procedure (as you want to do) is "Erase All Keys" (Erase All Keys) followed by writing two new ones with unique IDs. That is exactly what Incode is needed for.

As for access and tools in the current reality:

1. Offline calculators (like this v4.0):
This is exactly what you need for older cars (roughly up to 2011-2012).
* Plus: It works without the internet. Download it once, and it's yours forever. No site blocks affect it.
* Minus: It calculates only old algorithms (4-digit and some 8-digit codes).

2. FORScan (Extended License):
If you specialize in Ford, I strongly recommend using FORScan with an adapter (ELS27 or vLinker FS).
* For older cars (Focus 2, Mondeo 4, Fusion, etc.), FORScan itself generates Incode. It doesn't even need an external calculator; it does everything automatically.
* You just go to "Service Functions" -> "PATS" -> "Erase and program keys". The program will bypass the protection itself.

3. For newer cars (2013+):
The cryptography there is different already. Old calculators (v4.0) are powerless there.
* If you have access to dealer IDS or FJDS, you need an online account (NASTF), which is now difficult to pay for.
* Again, FORScan can help, but for newer cars you need paid functions there, or the use of third-party devices like Autel or OBDSTAR, which have their own servers (Chinese), and they are not blocked.

Summary:
Try to find and download this Outcode/Incode Calculator v4.0 (or v3.5) and keep it on your laptop. For cars up to 2012, it will solve your problem with the "correct" programming of two keys without the internet. And for work, use the combo: *Scanmatik/ELS27 + FORScan*. This is the most reliable option right now.

I have been using FORScan for a long time. Earlier with ELM. And now with vLinker FS

Excellent hardware choice. vLinker FS is probably the best adapter for FORScan right now in terms of price/performance. It is fast, automatically switches buses (HS-CAN / MS-CAN), and supports extended messages, which is critical when programming modules.

Given that you have vLinker FS and FORScan, the calculator situation looks like this:

1. If you have an active "Extended License" for FORScan:
You do not need an external calculator for most vehicles up to 2011-2012 (Focus 2, Mondeo 4, Kuga 1, Transit, Fusion/Fiesta).
FORScan calculates the Incode in the background by itself.
* *How it works:* You start the "Erase keys" procedure, the program asks "Do you want to generate Incode?", you press "Yes", and it does everything on its own. You do not need to enter the numbers manually.

2. Why would you need Outcode/Incode Calculator v4.0?
It is needed as a fallback option if:
* Your Extended FORScan license has expired, and renewing it now is difficult because of payment (cards) or access to the website problems.
* You are using an older version of FORScan without a license.
* You are using another program (for example, Ford IDS, Launch, Autel) that asks you to enter the code manually.
* The FORScan server is unavailable (although for older cars it calculates offline, but sometimes it requires verification).

Advice for using vLinker FS when programming keys:
In the FORScan connection settings, make sure the speed is set to "Auto" or a fixed high value (115200 or higher), since vLinker FS is very fast. This minimizes the risk of losing the connection at the moment keys are being written to the instrument cluster memory (IPC) or the body control module (BCM).

So look for v4.0 specifically as a "backup parachute" in case of license problems, but the main tool is already the most powerful one in your hands.

Excellent choice of equipment. vLinker FS is probably the best adapter for FORScan right now in terms of price-to-quality ratio. It is fast, automatically switches buses (HS-CAN / MS-CAN), and supports long messages, which is critical when programming modules.

Given that you have vLinker FS and FORScan, the situation with the calculator looks like this:

1. If you have an active "Extended license" (Extended liсеnsе) of FORScan:
You do not need an external calculator for most vehicles up to 2011-2012 (Focus 2, Mondeo 4, Kuga 1, Transit, Fusion/Fiesta).
FORScan calculates the Incode in the background by itself.
* *How it works:* You start the "Erase keys" procedure, the program asks "Do you want to generate Incode?", you press "Yes", and it does everything itself. There is no need to enter the numbers manually.

2. Then why do you need Outcode/Incode Calculator v4.0?
It is needed as an emergency option, if:
* Your FORScan Extended License has expired, and extending it now is difficult because of payment problems (cards) or access to the site.
* You are using an old version of FORScan without a license.

This minimizes the risk of a connection drop at the moment of writing keys to the memory of the instrument cluster (IPC) or the body module (BCM).

So look for v4.0 specifically as a "backup parachute" in case of license problems, but the main tool is already in your hands, and it is extremely powerful.
I have an extended annual license. but this does not work !!! I spoke by phone with tech support, and they told me it does not work.

I have an extended annual license. But it does not work!!! I spoke by phone with tech supp...

This is already more interesting. If FORScan support itself confirmed that the Incode generation function through the adapter (even with an extended license) currently does not work for your vehicle/year of manufacture, then there are two options:

1. Problem with a specific vehicle/module:
* It is possible that you have a very specific model or model year for which this function was temporarily disabled or has bugs. FORScan is constantly being updated, and sometimes some functions temporarily stop working or require further development.
* Which exact vehicle (model, year, engine) did you try to program keys for? This is very important information.

2. Problem with the FORScan version or drivers:
* Which FORScan version do you currently have installed? It is possible that you are using an old version where this function had not yet been implemented or was not working correctly.
* Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for vLinker FS. Sometimes adapter issues can affect how the software works.

3. Temporary limitations or blocks:
Although you are using an extended license, there are sometimes situations where access to Ford servers (which FORScan uses for some operations) may be restricted. But this usually applies to more complex functions than simple key programming for older cars.

What to do in your situation:

  • Use the Outcode/Incode Calculator v4.0: Since you are looking for it, this is exactly what will help you. It works fully offline and does not depend on Ford servers or the state of the FORScan license. For Ford Focus 2, Mondeo 4, Fiesta/Fusion up to about 2011-2012, it should work without problems.
  • Provide specifics: If you want, you can name the model, year, and engine of the car where the problem occurred in FORScan. Maybe someone on the forum has run into something similar and can suggest a solution or workaround.
  • Check the FORScan version: Make sure you have one of the latest stable versions of FORScan installed. Sometimes rolling back to a previous version can also help if bugs appeared in the latest one.

So yes, in your case an offline calculator is the most reliable way to solve the key programming problem until FORScan works properly.

You're welcome! Glad I could help sort out the situation.

If you find the calculator and have any questions about using it, or if you want to discuss specific cases with FORScan or other diagnostic tools, feel free to reach out. Good luck with the work!

I have one more question - can Forscan be used to bring the Airbag and seat belts with pyrotechnic pretensioners back into working condition...

Yes, with FORScan it is often possible to do this, but success depends on the Ford model and the generation of the RCM (Restraint Control Module) unit.

The situation where "there are no errors, but the lamp is on" usually indicates the presence of Crash Data in the module memory. This is not a normal error (DTC) that can be cleared with the "Clear errors" button. The RCM module "remembers" that the airbags deployed and blocks itself in software.

Here is the procedure in FORScan:

1. Reset Crash Data
You need to go not to error reading, but to Service Procedures (the wrench icon).
  • Find an item similar to "RCM Service Reset" or "Reset Crash Data".
  • Start the procedure. The program will try to clear the EEPROM memory area where the impact record is stored.
Important: Not all modules support reset via OBD2. On some older (pre-facelift Focus 2) or very new models, this function may be unavailable, and then the module has to be removed and flashed with a programmer (clear the dump manually).

2. RCM module initialization
If you installed an RCM module from another car (used), a configuration error may be present (VIN or equipment mismatch), even though you say there are no errors.
Try running the "RCM Module Initialization" procedure (Module Initialization) in the same service functions. This will "bind" the module to the car.

3. Passenger Occupant Sensor (OCS) calibration
This is a very common cause on Focus 3, Mondeo 4, and U.S. models (Fusion USA).
If the dashboard airbag or the seat belts were replaced, the seat wiring may have been disturbed, or the weight sensor calibration may simply have been lost.
  • In the service functions, look for "OCS System Zero Weight Test" (occupant sensor zero calibration) or "OCS Reset".
  • The passenger seat must be empty. The car must be standing on a level surface.

Summary
If the lamp is on and the RCM module really shows nothing when reading codes (DTCs), not even code B1193 - Crash Event Storage Full, then the problem is most likely in the OCS calibration (item 3) or in the instrument cluster (display glitch).

First try OCS Reset, and then RCM Service Reset.

Yes, with FORScan this is often possible, but success depends on the Ford model and the generation of the RCM (Restraint Control Module).

The situation where "there are no errors, but the lamp is on" usually indicates the presence of Crash Data (accident data) in the module memory. This is not a regular fault (DTC) that can be cleared with the "Clear errors" button. The RCM module "remembers" that the airbags deployed and locks itself programmatically.

Here is the procedure in FORScan:

1. Reset Crash Data (Crash Data)
You need to go not to fault reading, but to Service Procedures (the wrench icon).
  • Find an item similar to "RCM Service Reset" or "Reset Crash Data".
  • Start the procedure. The program will try to clear the EEPROM memory area where the fact of the impact is recorded.
Important: not all modules support resetting via OBD2. On some older (Focus 2 pre-facelift) or very new models, this function may be unavailable, and then the module must be removed and flashed with a programmer (the dump must be cleaned manually).

2. Initialization of the RCM module
If you installed an RCM module from another car (used), there may be a configuration error hanging around (VIN or equipment mismatch), even though you say there are no errors.
Try running the "RCM Module Initialization" procedure (Module initialization) in the same service functions. This will "bind" the module to the car.

3. Passenger occupancy sensor calibration (OCS)
This is a very common cause on Focus 3, Mondeo 4, and American models (Fusion USA).
If the dashboard airbag was replaced or the seat belts were changed, the seat wiring may have been affected, or the scale calibration may simply have been lost.
  • In the service functions, look for "OCS System Zero Weight Test" (Occupancy sensor zero calibration) or "OCS Reset".
  • The passenger seat must be empty. The car must be standing on a level surface.

Summary
If the lamp is on, and in the RCM module when reading codes (DTC) it really is empty (even there is no code B1193 - Crash Event Storage Full), then most likely the problem is with OCS calibration (item 3) or with the instrument cluster (display glitch).

First try OCS Reset, then RCM Service Reset.

Great! Keep us posted on how the procedure goes. It would be interesting to know whether a Crash Data reset or OCS calibration helped. Good luck!
