It is quite common for automated software like DaVinci or DPF Remover to fail on the Smart 451 with EDC16C32. These tools often just suppress the DTC table (Error codes) but fail to actually disable the regeneration logic or the soot model. This usually results in the car running fine for a while, but eventually clogging the exhaust or going into limp mode because the ECU still thinks the DPF is present.
For this ECU (HW: 0281017623), a manual solution is recommended (usually involving a single switch or specific hysteresis maps).
Please ensure your original file is attached to the post (preferably zipped) so that someone can take a look and assist you with a manual solution.
Good news. Just keep an eye on the live data for a few days.
Sometimes DaVinci solutions on these ECUs disable the diagnostic codes (DTCs) but fail to completely disable the regeneration strategy. If you see the soot mass value increasing or the car attempting to regenerate (high idle, fans on) despite no errors on the dash, you might need a manual solution later.
