Tiguan Traumas over 2 years

hi i have joined as with how complex cars are getting i need all the assistance i can get, my wifes tiguan had an ac compressor sieze,it only broke rhe exhaust rockers,but after pulling the head to ensure the valves were ok one of the needle rollers wound up inside the intake port of nymber 2 cylinder, so when i went to start it after thinking everything was ok it started for all of about 30 seconds,pulled the head again as turning it over by hand it was locking up now,decided to buy a used low kilometer engine complete, put it in it would crank but not fire, found son in law who was helping had put main earth to positive, i sent the ecu off to be checked it had burnt tracks, also discovered wiring on my original motor was slightly different to the new one although the same engine code, the original engine had the dpf sensor wiring in the engine harness the motor i bought did not, as the wife loves the car and is a perfect fit for her to get into and out of i bought a running car that was only 6 months older and thought this one runs i will just pull all the running gear and put in ours (as the running one was out of registration and needed a windscreen) only to find the dpf on the new car went to the same terminal on the ecu but went through the body wiring harness and i was not going to pull it apart to swap the full body harness over, so i now have better panels to paint and put on the newer one if she ever lets me get near it again. it took 26 months to get her back in a car she loves
