This Stage 1 binary reshapes the main torque model, driver-wish and smoke limiters, lifts turbo duty ceilings and re-aligns rail-pressure targets to exploit that reserve without breaching EGT limits. Mid-range punch improves markedly, giving crisper throttle response and quicker overtakes, yet fuel economy in steady-state cruising remains unchanged thanks to refined partial-load injection timing. Cold-start and altitude compensations are preserved, and all diagnostic trouble-code paths as well as limp-home strategies stay active, so drivetrain safety is never compromised. Designed for six-speed manual gearboxes, clutch-torque monitors are adjusted to stay inside stock hardware capacity, ensuring long-term reliability. The file flashes through any EVC-compatible tool in minutes and is intended for engines running stock turbo, intercooler and exhaust after-treatment; no mechanical upgrades are required. With the calibration loaded the X-Trail pulls harder from 1 700 rpm, holds power to 4 300 rpm and delivers an estimated 190 hp while retaining the smooth drivability expected from a family SUV.
