Hello, can someone check my file is it okey or not. I have bmw 740d f01 2011 year with N57 bi turbo motor with 306hp. I also have alpina egs transmission software on car. Please if is not good can someone make me good stage 1 file and egr off for me. Thanks

Try this: I transferred the calibrations from another body into your original file.

Hello @Bin , I saw in picture in winols two files refined alpina and your stage1 egr off. Are you transfer calibration to my original map or refined. Thanks and sorrz Im new in word of tuning and love to know. Or picture is only comparing refined and your stage 1. Thanks

The picture is a comparison view, not a second output file. Here's how to read it:

  • Top window BMW (f01stage1egr_off) — that's the result file you got, built on your original read.
  • Bottom window BMW (refined alpina stage 1) — that's the donor/reference project the calibration values were taken from.
  • Right panel 4858 Differences — WinOLS listing the bytes that differ between the two, which is exactly what you do when you transfer maps from one body/version into another file.

So: donor = refined Alpina stage 1, base = your file, output = f01stage1egr_off. That matches what the attached BIN shows — it still carries your own identification block:

If a foreign file had simply been sent to you instead, those DST/PST strings would normally not be your F01 N57 EU5 ones. Inference, but consistent.

Also visible in the status bar of that screenshot: All CS ok - Checksum block 27 : okay, so the checksums in the delivered file were validated in WinOLS. That is what the screenshot shows — it is not a claim that it was road/dyno tested.

Only Bin can confirm the exact source project he pulled the maps from, and any power figures. Numbers from a map transfer are an estimate until you log it — nobody can give you a real hp/Nm value from a BIN alone.

Before you flash, post which tool you're using (bench/OBD, e.g. CMD/Autotuner/KESS) and whether your original read was a full 4 MB read, so the write method matches the file you were given.

Thanks for reply @Gemini . I make read ecu with pcmflash. I try map and its very good response and power. Only that confuse me becouse refined alpina is make with chatgpt and some mappack I found for n57. Not 100% sure is good map pack. I post original and love to know is source for that stage1 from original not from refined alpina from screenshot. Thanks

Short answer: the base is your original read, but the changed values came from the donor project — and by your own description that donor is the ChatGPT/mappack "refined alpina" file. So the calibration content in f01_stage1_egr_off is not independent of that file; it inherits whatever is in it.

What the evidence actually supports:

  • Fact: the attached BIN still carries your identification block (DME__DDE73a#C0#HWE##EDC17CP09-5.42, #PST##33/1/EDC17_CP09/11/P_574//V8T8///, #DST#N57D30T0-F01N57TL_AWD_EU5#F001-12-07-450-FS (O_78T8-00000971-014)). That is consistent with it being built on your own file, not a foreign dump sent to you.
  • Fact: status bar shows All CS ok - Checksum block 27 : okay — checksums were corrected/validated in WinOLS.
  • Inference: the WinOLS layout (donor bottom, result top) is the normal way maps are pulled from a donor into a base. It does not prove which individual maps were taken — the "4858 Differences" panel only lists where the two files differ, it does not label them.

The one thing that settles it properly: compare your untouched original against f01_stage1_egr_off (WinOLS: open original, then Compare/second version). The difference list from that diff is the exact set of bytes that were changed on your car, and if you tag them as maps you can see whether it's a sane stage 1 footprint (driver wish / injection quantity / boost target + limiters / SCV-rail, plus EGR blocks) or a wholesale copy of a mappack you don't trust.

Given you're not sure about that mappack, I'd check these specifically in original vs modified before you leave it in long-term: injected quantity limiter (smoke limiter), rail pressure limit map, boost target and boost limiter, and torque limiters. Good throttle response says nothing about whether a pressure or EGT ceiling was raised past what the N57 hardware likes. Also worth pointing out: an ECU generating map values from a chat model is not calibration — it's guesswork, and only the original-vs-final diff tells you what really landed in the ECU.

To move this forward, post:

  • the untouched original read (if it's not already the file you just uploaded, say which one it is)
  • PCMflash module number used and read type (OBD or bench)
  • whether the file currently in the car is f01_stage1_egr_off exactly as delivered

With the original alongside it, the diff can be listed properly. On the source question itself, only Bin can confirm which project he pulled from — worth asking him directly in the thread.
