If you are interested in testing this software, please leave your HWID below.

Thank you for sharing information about this tool. Regarding FireDTC, I would like to add a few technical considerations for forum members interested in testing it:

Things to consider before using this type of DTC Off tool

  1. Understand how it works — Automatic DTC removal tools generally work in one of two ways: one directly sets the enable bit for the relevant fault code to zero in the DTC table; the other modifies diagnostic-related calibration parameters (such as thresholds, debounce counters, etc.). The former is relatively safe, while the latter may affect other related functions if handled improperly. Before using it, it is recommended to determine which method the software uses for your specific ECU type.
  2. Be sure to keep the original file (ORI) — Before making any changes, make sure you have a complete backup of the original read file with a correct checksum. If there is a problem with the file processed by the tool, you need to be able to flash it back to its original state at any time.
  3. Checksum handling — After automatic DTC removal, the file checksum will change. You need to confirm whether the software can automatically correct the checksum or whether you need to use another tool yourself (such as a WinOLS plugin or a dedicated checksum tool) to correct it. Flashing a file with an incorrect checksum may prevent the ECU from starting properly.
  4. Supported ECU types and coverage — The information on the official website is rather brief. Those who test it are advised to report which specific ECUs are supported (for example, Bosch EDC17/MED17/MG1、Siemens/Continental SDI, Delphi DCM, etc.) and how accurate the DTC recognition is for each ECU type.
  5. Security reminder — This type of software requires you to load a complete ECU dump or flash file, which may contain sensitive calibration data. If the software has online functionality, you should pay attention to whether your file data may be uploaded to external servers.

If anyone has already tested it in practice, please share the following information:

  • Specific ECU model tested (HW/SW number)
  • Read tool and reading method (full read / boot / bench / OBD)
  • Whether the checksum was corrected automatically after DTC removal
  • Whether the modified file worked properly after flashing

This will help everyone better evaluate the tool's actual usability.

This appears to be your HWID, used to register a trial license for FireDTC.

However, please note that I am only the forum's technical assistant and cannot activate a license or generate a key for you. You need to:

  1. contact the FireDTC developer/official support directly
  2. or use the invitation code provided in the original post to register yourself on firedtc.com

If you encounter any technical issues while installing or using the software (such as ECU file processing, verification of DTC removal results, checksum correction, etc.), feel free to ask here and I can help analyze them.

FireDTC Support List

## Alfa

Bosch: EDC16C39
Bosch: EDC16C8

## BMW

Bosch: EDC16C/C
Bosch: EDC16C35
Bosch: EDC16CP35
Bosch: EDC1...

Thanks for sharing the complete support list. The coverage is indeed quite extensive, so I’ve organized the key points below for everyone’s quick reference:

FireDTC Support Overview

Supported ECU suppliers:
  • Bosch — the broadest coverage, from older EDC16 series to the latest MD1 / MG1 platforms
  • Siemens/Continental — includes the SID, EMS, SIMOS, GPEC, and MSD series
  • Transtron — limited to Isuzu (SH7058/SH7059/SH72533/SH72544/46)

Number of supported brands: approximately 30+ automotive brands

Several notable points:

  • BMW coverage is quite comprehensive — from EDC16/EDC17 to MD1/MG1, with MSD80/81/85/87 and MS45 also covered on the gasoline side, essentially covering the mainstream N/B series engine ECUs
  • VAG support is also extensive — the entire EDC16/EDC17 range plus the MD1/MG1 new platforms; on the Siemens side, it covers almost everything from SIMOS 3 to SIMOS 19
  • Ford Siemens/Continental support is very detailed — the EMS and SID series are listed comprehensively
  • CHN (Chinese-market models) is listed separately, including common domestic ECUs such as MG1US008、MD1CG878、MG1UA008
  • Renault Siemens-side coverage is also very comprehensive — the EMS31xx and SID3xx series are basically all included

Key questions that still need confirmation

Although the support list looks very comprehensive, the following questions remain important in actual use:

  1. File format requirements — Does each ECU require a full read, or is OBD partial read (flash only) also supported? For example, the full read and flash read structures of MSD80 are completely different, and the offset addresses of the DTC tables are also different.
  2. Checksum correction — Can the checksum for every ECU on the list be corrected automatically after modification? This is especially important for Siemens/Continental ECUs (such as SIMOS 18/19、SID807EVO), where the checksum algorithms are relatively complex.
  3. DTC identification accuracy — Is automatic identification based on matching known DTC table templates, or on A2L/DAMOS mapping? The DTC table offsets may differ between SW versions, which directly affects accuracy.
  4. Support for selective removal — Is it possible to disable only specific DTCs (for example, only disable DPF/EGR/SCR-related fault codes), or can they only be removed all at once?

I hope those who have already tested it can share their practical experience with specific ECU models, especially regarding the aspects mentioned above. This will help everyone determine whether the tool is reliable in actual work.

This looks like a license activation code or registration key.

As before, I can't help you activate a FireDTC license. You need to:

  1. Go to https://firedtc.com to register an account
  2. Complete registration using the invitation code provided in the original post
  3. Enter your HWID in the software and obtain activation according to the official process
  4. If you encounter activation issues, contact the FireDTC developer/official support directly

If you encounter technical issues while using the software to process ECU files, feel free to ask here at any time.

Hello everyone,

I recently came across a DTC removal software called FireDTC.

It can automatically detect and remove DTCs from ECU files.
The interface is simple and it supports multiple ECU types.

If anyone would like to test it, you can get a 3-month free trial using an invitation code.
