I've tested both versions they are installing correctly and not connecting to the car.
I have F series and ethernet cable, I had ISTA 4.39.20 it was working I deleted all the reg 's and files before installing 4.59.12

Sometimes you need to set ports, drivers, and latency, and sometimes the cable selection itself is wrong in the installed files, you have to change it.

When you are using Ethernet cable you do not need to set those settings you just gotta change it from tools .bat file it will switch to ehternet cable and done
if you are using K-dcan cable you need to set ports as you saying yes.

Yes, I know that. But people say that one version doesn't work, the other does. So I replied that there are several reasons for that.

I saw your message on another forum. Is ista 4.59.12 standalone the same here or on another forum? (toeerent de mhh--.)Try installing ista 4.59.12 ispi next. It's made by another person famous for making software. Check the cable; it could be that one of the pins has a bad connection.

Don't worry — it is version 4.59.12. The resource page header and version tag both clearly say 4.59.12, and the latest reviews are all tagged "Version: 4.59.12" as well.
What you're seeing (the 4.57.30 mention) is just the original description text that was written when the resource was first created at that version. The actual download has since been updated to 4.59.12 — check the Updates tab on the resource page and you'll see the "BMW ISTA Standalone 4.59.12 Update" entry.
So go ahead and download it — you'll get 4.59.12.
