Less activation capacity is available for this software than the submitted request requires.

Current usage: 1 registered personal HWID for xDecoder 14.0, with an account allowance of 1.
This request: 1 new distinct HWID. Available slots before this request: 0.

Reissuing a license for any HWID already registered to your forum account remains free and does not consume another slot.

Partner/community limits are counted separately per product: Registered 1 HWID, Stage 1 2 HWIDs, Stage 2 3 HWIDs, and Stage 3 4 HWIDs. Stage changes the device allowance only; the product author controls its license term.

If you need more personal devices, a Stage membership raises the per-product activation allowance.

I did step
  1. Download and fully extract the current xDecoder package.
but I hasn't file START-xDecoder.exe.

Please can I try that again?
I am running Linux and tried to run it under WINE but it doesn't work properly. It opens but can't do anything inside it.
This time I will put it inside a VM.

Yeah, that's the right call — running it in a proper Windows VM will save you a lot of guessing. WINE tends to load the UI but fall over on the file-access and control rendering side of these Windows-only utilities, which matches exactly what you describe (it opens, nothing works inside).

Two practical points before you generate the new HWID:

  • Finish the VM configuration first. Set vCPU count, disk, network adapter/MAC and machine name the way you intend to keep them, then boot, install into a clean folder, and only then read the HWID. On most VM platforms the HWID is derived from that virtual hardware profile, so changing those later can invalidate the activation.
  • Once activated, take a snapshot of the VM. If the guest ever needs a rebuild you can roll back instead of burning another request.

Install note from the resource itself: extract v14.0 into a new empty folder, don't drop it over an older xDecoder install.

On the license side — swapping your old WINE-generated HWID (76CE6AC5A1563770) for the new one (3DF721902F740B11) is an account change I can't carry out from this thread. Post the request to Bin or the admin so the previous HWID can be released, otherwise the new one counts as a second distinct device against the allowance.
