Hi,

Does anyone have a solution for the Fiat locked BSI without replacing it with a new one?

I have heard that it can be done with flashing the BSI.

Customer has lost all his keys and it has an active alarm

For a 2013 Fiat 500 the "locked" BSI (really the Body Computer / proxi + immo) is usually recoverable without swapping it, but it depends on exactly which BC is fitted and how it's locked.

A few things worth clarifying, because the approach changes:

  • Is the BSI actually security-locked (crash/proxi lock, PIN attempts exhausted), or is it just that all keys are lost and you need to program a new one?
  • Which body computer is in the car — the 2013 500 typically uses a Magneti Marelli BC. Post the module part number / ISO ID.

If it's simply all-keys-lost, you don't necessarily need to flash anything — you read the PIN/secret from the BC EEPROM and program a new key. On these Marelli units that usually means reading the EEPROM on the bench (or via supported OBD tool) to extract the immo code, then teaching a new key. AlfaOBD / Multiecuscan won't recover the PIN by themselves, but they're fine for the key-learn step once you have the code.

Flashing/virginizing the BC is only needed if the unit is genuinely locked out from too many wrong PIN attempts or a security lock.

To point you at the right method, post:
  • Body computer full part number and hardware (photo of the label is ideal)
  • VIN or at least exact build/engine
  • The tool you have available (Autel/AVDI/OBD, and any bench EEPROM programmer)
  • The exact symptom on the cluster/tool — what does it say when you try to connect or start

With the BC part number I can tell you whether it's an OBD read or a bench EEPROM job.

Here is a photo of the BSI. it’s a 500e tho. It’s has active alarm.

Thanks for the photo — that changes things a bit. A couple of important points.

That label reads 68225366AC, type FI3-AM433RX / FI3-125kHz, FCCID LTQFI3125. That is a Mopar RF hub / RFA (Radio Frequency Hub) — the keyless/RF receiver module, not the Body Computer that holds the immo secret. So it's worth confirming exactly which unit you've pulled and what the customer actually calls the "locked BSI."

Also note "500e" — the electric 500e and the ICE 500 are very different architectures. The 2013-era 500e (North America) is essentially a different platform to the European 2013 Fiat 500 with the Marelli BC, so the immo/AKL approach is not the same and generic Fiat 500 procedures may not apply.

Because of that, before anyone points you at a flash/EEPROM method, I need to pin down the car and the module:

  • Which 500e is it — model year and market (US 2013–2019, or the newer 2020+ 500e)? The photo date code 16314 suggests ~2016 build, so confirm.
  • VIN — this settles the platform and immo type.
  • What is the actual complaint on the dash / tool when you connect — "active alarm" how exactly (horn/lights, or a fault message)? Is it truly all-keys-lost?
  • Which module is genuinely locked — the BCM/Body Computer, or this RF hub? Post the part number of the main body computer too if you can reach it.
  • What tools do you have — Autel/AVDI/XHorse, plus any bench EEPROM programmer?

I can't confirm a specific "flash the BSI" solution for this exact module from the label alone, and I won't guess a method that could brick it. Give me the VIN and the exact locked module part number and I'll tell you whether it's an OBD AKL, a bench EEPROM read, or a genuine BCM replacement/PROXI case.
