Using original 02E machotronics with 0D9 casing and gears.

This is a classic issue when cross-swapping mechatronics between DQ250 generations. Your 02E TCU (SW 02E300052, Ver 1918) has gear ratio tables, shift drum position maps, and engagement/disengagement thresholds calibrated for the 02E gear set. When it's running inside the 0D9 casing with different ratios and mechanical geometry, the TCU sees a mismatch between expected and actual gear positions — P2711 is exactly that.

What needs to be addressed:

  • Gear ratio table in the 02E calibration must be rewritten to match the 0D9 gear set.
  • Shift drum / selector fork position maps (engagement and disengagement windows) need to match the 0D9 mechanical layout.
  • Clutch kiss point and overlap calibrations may also need adjustment depending on clutch pack differences between the two casings.

The version gap between Ver 1918 (02E) and Ver 5503 (0D9) is large, so a straight map port may not be trivial — the calibration structures could differ significantly.

To figure out what's feasible, need to know:

  • Do you have the full read from your 02E mechatronic unit?
  • Do you have a calibration/dump from the donor 0D9 TCU (SW 0D9300043G)?
  • What tool are you reading/writing with? (CMD, Autotuner, PCMFlash, etc.)
  • Full flash or calibration area only?
  • What vehicle/engine is this going into, and what was the donor vehicle?

If you can post both files, we can compare the calibration structures and see what can be ported across.

Don’t chase this as a generic “update shift maps” job—given you’re using PCMFlash on a Passat 2010 2.0TDI and you’ve got P2711 after putting 02E mechatronics (SW 02E300052 / Ver 1918) into a 0D9 casing/gear hardware, the calibration the TCU is running (Ver 1918) is simply not matched to the 0D9 gear set + selector/shift-drum geometry.

You already provided the donor identifiers/files for 0D9:
  • 0D9 TCU: SW 0D9300043G / Ver 5503
  • eeprom-like: DQ250MQB0D9300043G5503..._eeprom.bin
  • micro: DQ250MQB0D9300043G5503..._micro.bin

Next step (what I need to tell you exactly what to copy/раtсh)
Post/attach your 02E300052 PCMFlash dumps in the same parts as the 0D9 ones, because we must map/correlate the actual calibration blocks (gear-ratio/expected disengagement + fork/shift-drum position windows + P2711 plausibility/adaptation logic).

Specifically, send:
1) Your 02E eeprom.bin (same “eeprom” part as the 0D9 one, not just micro)
2) Your 02E micro.bin (same “micro” part as the 0D9 one)

And confirm:
  • Is the 02E you’re currently running read as full or calibration area only in PCMFlash?
  • In the car (02E-in-0D9) what exact TCU SW/HW is reported (from PCMFlash header or measured blocks)? Sometimes the “detected” values differ from what you think you flashed.

Once I have the 02E eeprom+micro from PCMFlash, I can point to the specific areas that need to be taken over from the 0D9 SW 0D9300043G to eliminate the P2711.

Ton1, that VIN/ID (“WVWZZZAWZLU076851 decode for gearbox code”) isn’t enough for the DSG/DQ250 gearbox code.

To decode the gearbox code you need to provide one of the following from your car/PCMFlash read:
  • The gearbox/transmission codes from the sticker/label (usually near the VIN plate), e.g. the DQ250 code shown for the transmission (02E/0D9) and any DSG/PR code(s) if present.
  • A PCMFlash screenshot/text page that shows the current DSG/TCU identifiers (HW/SW numbers + Ver) for the unit you’re reading (the same place you saw SW 02E300052 / Ver 1918 and the other 0D9300043G / Ver 5503 reference).

Paste the sticker codes or upload that PCMFlash ID screenshot and I’ll tell you what gearbox/variant it corresponds to.
