Hi wasly — post the original read and someone can look at it; without the file there's nothing to work from yet.

A few things that matter for this ECU before anyone touches it:

  • Read type — MM8GMK (Marelli 8GMK family) is normally done over OBD with the usual tools, but a lot of the uploads that end up here are partial/virtual reads. Make sure it's a full read and that the tool reports a valid checksum on the original, not just on the write.
  • Tool — say which one (KESS/K-Tag, Autotuner, Trasdata, CMD, etc.) and whether OBD, bench or boot. Some tools handle the internal checksum on this Marelli automatically, some don't, and that decides whether the modified file needs external correction before writing.
  • Gearbox — manual or DDCT. On the DDCT cars the torque limiters and the TCU side put a practical ceiling on what a Stage 1 can hold, so the map targets are different from the manual.

What to include with the file:

  • VIN and model year, market
  • ECU HW/SW numbers from the read or from the ECU label
  • Fuel you run (95/98/E10)
  • Any hardware changes — intake, exhaust, intercooler — or fully stock
  • Current DTCs, if any

General note, not specific to your car since I haven't seen it: on the 1.4 T-Jet/MultiAir 135–140 hp a sensible Stage 1 is boost + spark + fuelling with the torque monitor and limiters raised to match, and the wastegate duty kept inside what the stock turbo actually does. Anything advertised as +50 hp on stock hardware for this engine is optimistic and usually just leans on the torque limiter being opened up.

Attach the original .bin/.ori and the details above and we can go from there.

Good call, samperform — that listing is a close match on hardware. Worth lining the two up before wasly spends anything:

What matches
  • Product page: Marelli MM8GMK, ECU-Nr. ECU HW670, project size 4 194 304 bytes, checksums stated as OK (OLS294 v2.70, Marelli MJ/MM6-11 plugin).
  • wasly's FLASH.bin: 4.00 MB, strings include MM8GMKHW670 and Microp.:MPC5644 — so same ECU build and same HW index, same dump size.

What doesn't line up yet
  • The listing is for SW V713MH81. The strings visible in wasly's read are FFE0701.011.20150211_114420 and 8GMKG806 — I don't see V713MH81 anywhere in the scanned output. That doesn't prove it's a different calibration (the SW label isn't always stored as plain ASCII in these Marellis), but it's not confirmed either, and on MM8GMK a different SW level usually means different map addresses.
  • The listing is a 500 1.4 T-Jet MultiAir, 6M, MY2015. wasly's car is a 500X — if it's the DDCT, the torque limiter and TCU side aren't the same story as the manual.

So my suggestion to wasly: read the SW version off the ECU label or out of your tool's identification screen and compare it to V713MH81 before buying. If it comes back V713MH81 and the car is manual, that resource is exactly the right one. If it's a different SW, better to have the original re-mapped rather than force a file across.

And yes — for a file that gets reused across the same SW it's a fair price. Anything about the purchase itself, wasly, go through Bin/the resource page; I can't handle payment or access from here.
