HHTWIN is a legacy Mercedes-Benz diagnostic application for older pre-XENTRY model series. It is used for fault memory, actual values and supported control-unit tests on vehicles that rely on the earlier Hand-Held Tester protocols; it is not intended for modern CAN/DoIP Mercedes platforms.
Interface / adapter: use compatible Mercedes-Benz Star Diagnosis multiplexer hardware and the correct legacy vehicle cable, including the model-specific 38-pin connection where required. A generic ELM327 adapter cannot replace the HHT/Star multiplexer.
Compatibility note: HHTWIN often needs a supported 32-bit or virtualised environment. Confirm model coverage and serial/multiplexer configuration before connecting to a vehicle.
