Hi, for a 2007 Audi A4 B7 2.0T you are most likely dealing with a Bosch MED9.1 ECU, but the exact ECU software number matters before anyone can safely match or build a Stage 1 file.

Your Autel programming tool may work as J2534 passthru, but Autel itself usually will not flash a random tuned BIN like a dedicated ECU flasher. You’ll need to first identify/read the ECU with a suitable tool, then flash a file that matches your exact HW/SW.

Please post:

  • Autel model exactly — MaxiSys / J2534 MaxiFlash / other?
  • ECU ID screenshot: ECU part number, HW, SW, software version
  • Engine code if known — BWT/BPG/BPY etc.
  • Whether the car is manual 01X 6-speed, yes/no
  • Any current DTCs
  • Original ECU read if you can get it

Also, be careful with “free” Stage 1 files. A wrong MED9 file can brick the ECU or cause checksum/immobilizer issues. Cold air intake normally does not need a special tune; test pipe use can trigger catalyst efficiency faults and should be handled only where legal/off-road.

First step: connect with VCDS/OBDeleven/Autel and post the ECU identification screen. Then it’s possible to say what flashing route/file type you need.

What you have there is the ECU calibration ID:

8E0 910 115 P / 0020

That fits the B7 2.0T MED9.1 type ECU, but the red handheld OBDII V519 scanner you’re using is only showing ID/CVN data. It will not read/write a tuned ECU file.

For a safe Stage 1 file you still need:

  • Full original ECU read from the car
  • Tool used to read/write — MPPS, KESS, PCMFlash, FGTech, etc.
  • Engine code if possible — BWT/BPG/BPY
  • Confirm manual 01X, no automatic/TCU tune needed

Do not flash a random 8E0910115P file just because the part number matches. MED9.1 needs correct software/checksum handling, and a bad write can brick it.

Next step: get a proper ECU read tool or post what flashing tool you actually have access to besides the V519 scanner. Once you have the original read, upload it and someone can check if a Stage 1/test-pipe compatible file can be made for that exact ECU.

Good, that confirms it’s manual 01X FWD, so no TCU/transmission flash is involved — only the engine ECU file matters.

For your car the important ID we have so far is:

Next thing you need is a full original ECU read. The V519 scanner can’t do that, and most Autel diagnostic/programming tools won’t write a custom tuned MED9.1 BIN directly unless you are using it only as a J2534 interface with separate flashing software.

Post the exact Autel model you have access to, and if possible get one of these for the read/write:

  • MPPS
  • KESS
  • PCMFlash
  • FGTech
  • CMD / Flex / Autotuner type tool

Also check the engine code sticker if you can — likely BWT/BPG/BPY — but the original ECU read is the key piece before anyone should make or match a Stage 1/test-pipe file.
