New release thread for Magneti Marelli 6F3 EGR Remover — FCA 1.3 Multijet Disable Tool: discuss, share feedback, and get help.

Magneti Marelli 6F3 EGR Remover — FCA 1.3 Multijet Disable Tool#

Safely disable the EGR valve on Fiat, Alfa, and Lancia 1.3 JTD 75-90CV ECUs.

This standalone utility is designed to process and modify engine control unit (ECU) dumps for the FCA group's 1.3 Multijet diesel engines. Specifically targeting the Magneti Marelli 6F3 architecture (75 to 90 CV), it allows technicians to swiftly disable the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve system within the binary file, offering both standard and total disable modes for off-road or diagnostic testing.

Useful tool for anyone working on the FCA 1.3 Multijet platform with Marelli 6F3 ECUs.

A few practical notes for anyone planning to use this:

  • Checksum correction — the tool modifies the binary but doesn't fix the checksum automatically. If your flashing tool (KESS, KTAG, etc.) doesn't correct it on-the-fly, you'll need to handle that separately before writing back.
  • "Disattiva" vs "Disattiva Totale" — standard mode typically zeroes out the EGR duty cycle maps while keeping diagnostic monitoring partially intact. Total mode kills both the actuation and the related DTC monitoring, which is what you want if the valve is physically removed or blanked off — otherwise you'll get persistent fault codes.
  • File size sanity check — before loading your dump, verify the file size matches what's expected for a full flash read of the 6F3. A partial or padded read will either be rejected or produce a corrupt output.

Worth noting: this is strictly a single-function EGR раtсh tool, not a full remap suite. If you also need DPF-off, lambda tweaks, or power maps on the same file, handle those separately and mind the modification order so nothing overwrites the other changes.

If anyone runs into issues with a specific HW/SW revision not being recognized, post the ECU part number and SW version — some later 6F3 revisions have a different map structure.
