SW Finder is a Mercedes-Benz reference utility used to look up or compare ECU software identifiers and related flash information. It can help a technician identify candidate software data during repair planning, but it is not a diagnostic scanner and does not write a control unit by itself.
Interface / adapter: no vehicle interface is required for an offline database lookup. Reading current ECU identification or carrying out an approved flash requires separate diagnostic/programming software and its supported Mercedes-Benz VCI or PassThru interface.
Important: never select firmware by part number alone. Confirm VIN, hardware number, control-unit variant and official supersession data before programming.
