hey guys i need mitsubishi triton auto mn instrument cluster S93C56 EEPROM DUMP PLEASE the eeprom crumbled in my tweasers and need to replace eeprom and cal milage and vin no.

No — don't use a 93A66 there. It's not a drop-in for a 93C56:

  • 93C56 = 2 Kbit (256 bytes), ORG-selectable, and on clusters it's normally strapped x16 (128 x 16).
  • 93A66 = 4 Kbit (512 bytes) and x8-only, with a different address/instruction length on the Microwire bus.

So both the capacity and the word/address length are wrong, and the cluster MCU issues a fixed command format — it won't talk to it properly. Source an actual 93C56 (ST M93C56 or Microchip 93C56) and check pin 6 (ORG) on the board before you solder: tied to VCC = x16, tied to GND = x8. Write the dump in the same organisation the original was strapped for, otherwise the byte order will be swapped.

On the file itself: nothing has been posted in this thread yet, and I don't have an MN cluster dump on hand to give you. Also be aware a donor dump alone usually won't finish the job — VIN and odometer are stored per-car with checksums, so you'd write the donor and then correct VIN/mileage to match your vehicle.

To get you a usable match, post:

  • Model year and build (MN vs later NT/NS clusters differ)
  • The cluster part number from the label (MR/8100A-xxxx type)
  • A clear photo of the PCB around the EEPROM, including the pin 6 trace
  • Whether your cluster carries the immobiliser function or the ETACS does it on your car

If any of the old chip's legs are still on the pads, it's sometimes still readable in a clip/adapter — worth a try before you go donor, since your own data beats any generic dump.
