Works with: UPA-USB hardware programmer (ELRASOFT) — Windows software for Read / Write / Verify memory chips and supported MCUs, using included scripts.

• Works best on Windows XP / 7 (32-bit) — this is the recommended environment.
• On Windows 7/10 64-bit it can also work, but you may need to install the USB drivers manually and in some cases run the software in compatibility mode (right-click → Properties → Compatibility → Windows XP SP3).
• Make sure you install the correct FTDI USB drivers for the UPA-USB hardware so the device is properly recognized in Device Manager.

• Check Device Manager for an unknown device or driver error under "USB Controllers" or "Ports (COM & LPT)".
• Reinstall the FTDI driver manually.
• Try a different USB port (preferably a rear port directly on the motherboard, not a hub).
• Disable UAC and run the software as Administrator.
