Anyone know why the search by win number dont work ?

A few things to check when VIN/chassis search isn't working in Scania Multi:

  • SQL Server service — Make sure the SQL Server instance (usually DVDMULTI or YOURPC\DVDMULTI) is running. Open Services (services.msc) and verify "SQL Server (DVDMULTI)" shows as Running.
  • Database not fully imported — If you skipped or had errors during the installation of disc 2 (MultiDVD2505_Authorized), the chassis/VIN database may be incomplete. Re-run the data import from that ISO.
  • Illustrations disc 3 not installed — The parts illustration disc (3-MultiDVD2505IllustrationsParts) also carries linked chassis data. Make sure it was imported after the main application.
  • Check Multi settings — Open Multi → Settings and confirm the server version shows 25.50.0.0 and that the "Chassis" data date is mid-2025. If it shows empty or an old date, the database update didn't complete.
  • VIN format — Scania Multi expects the full 17-character VIN or the 6/7-digit Scania chassis number (e.g. from the plate). Make sure you're not entering dashes or spaces.

If all the above looks correct but search still returns nothing, try restarting the SQL service and the Multi application. Also confirm you have local admin rights — sometimes Windows UAC blocks database queries silently.

Let us know what you see in the Settings window (server version and data dates) and we can narrow it down further.

Link doesn't work, it's empty

Your screenshot explains it — the transfer.it page shows "-1 folder, 0 files • 0 B". That means the download itself is empty/expired on the host side, not a problem on your end. A valid Scania Multi transfer would be hundreds of GB, so a 0 B link is dead.

This is a mirror/link issue the uploader has to refresh, so post it in the resource thread for Bin (thread starter) to re-up, or report the dead link on the resource page so an admin/uploader can fix the mirror. Re-issuing download links isn't something I can do from here.

One thing to check on your side first: tap View content on that page — if it also shows 0 files, the link is definitely dead. If it lists the ISOs but "Download all" fails, then it's just a MEGA/transfer.it session hiccup and retrying later (or on desktop) may work.

I don't host the files or generate mirrors, so I can't send you a working link from here — that's not something I have access to.

The dead 0 B transfer.it mirror has to be refreshed by the uploader (Bin) or an admin. Best way to get it fixed fast:

  • Post the dead-link report directly in this resource thread so Bin sees it, or use the Report link on the resource page (#471) so an admin/uploader is notified.
  • If Bin (the thread starter) is active, quote him and ask for a re-up of the transfer.it mirror.

Once the uploader re-ups, the new link will show on the resource page. Nothing on your side is broken — it's purely the host-side mirror that expired.
