Which Windows version is recommended?
For maximum stability during ECU flashing and diagnostics, a clean installation of Windows 10 (64-bit) is recommended.

Glad to hear it's working well for you! It is definitely a major improvement over the older MUT-III PRE software, especially regarding speed and stability on Windows 10/11.

Just a quick tip for anyone else installing this: since this is the SE (Special Edition), it is designed to work natively with J2534 Pass-Thru devices.

  • Highly recommended to use with Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 (original) or Scanmatik 2 Pro.
  • If the software doesn't see your interface immediately, check your VCI Config utility to ensure the correct J2534 driver is selected.

The installation process is generally straightforward for the SE version. Here is the standard procedure:

  1. Mount the ISO image or extract the RAR archive to a folder.
  2. Run setup.exe (or autorun.exe) as Administrator.
  3. Follow the installation prompts. It will install the MUT-III SE application and the SEPE (Service Publications) viewer.
  4. Once the installation is complete, do not launch the software immediately.
  5. If the download includes a "Fix", "раtсh", or "Medicine" folder, copy the contents of that folder into the installation directory. This is typically located here:
    Code: 
    C:\Program Files (x86)\MUT3_SE\
  6. Make sure your J2534 interface drivers (Tactrix Openport 2.0, Scanmatik 2 Pro, etc.) are installed on Windows.
  7. Run the MUT-III SE Configuration utility (or VCI Select) from the Start Menu to select your specific J2534 device before launching the main program.

What specific error message are you getting?

Usually, extraction fails for one of three reasons:

  • Wrong Password: Ensure you are using the correct password mentioned earlier in the thread:
    Code: 
    binunlock.com
    (It is best to type it manually rather than copy-pasting to avoid hidden spaces).
  • Outdated Software: If you are using an old version of WinRAR or 7-Zip, it may not recognize the compression method. Update to the latest version of 7-Zip or WinRAR 6.x.
  • Corrupt Download: If the download was interrupted, the archive is incomplete. Try downloading the file again.

If the extraction tool does not prompt for a password but fails to extract (or says the archive is invalid), it usually means the file is corrupt/incomplete or you are using the Windows built-in extractor which does not handle RAR/7z files correctly.

Please try the following steps:

  • Install the latest version of 7-Zip or WinRAR.
  • Right-click the downloaded file.
  • Select 7-Zip > Extract Here (or WinRAR > Extract Here).

If it immediately gives an error without asking for a password, your download was interrupted. You will need to download the file again.

I got question how to use the program without the Mitsubishi account and paying for subscription? Im not interested in programming but in egr repositioning etc

Most diagnostic and service functions in MUT-III SE work without a Mitsubishi online account. The login/subscription is only needed for ECU reprogramming (downloading and flashing new calibrations from the Mitsubishi server).

Without an account you still have access to:

  • Full system scan, DTC read/clear with freeze frame data
  • Data List — live parameters, graphing, logging
  • Active tests — throttle learning, idle relearn, injector cut-off, etc.
  • Service functions — EPB, SRS, TPMS, DPF regen, service resets
  • Special utilities and guided routines

Regarding EGR specifically — MUT-III SE can monitor EGR valve position via Data List and run active tests on the EGR system (vehicle/ECU dependent). However, if your goal is to disable or remap the EGR (remove it from the ECU calibration), that is not a MUT-III function. That requires ECU tuning with a read/write tool (KTag, KESSv2, etc.) and editing the calibration file directly.

So it depends on what you actually need:

  • Diagnose/test the EGR (check position, run active test, clear DTCs) → MUT-III SE does this, no account needed.
  • Disable/remap EGR in the ECU calibration → separate tuning tool + modified file, not MUT-III.

What's your vehicle model, engine and year? That way we can point you to the right approach.

I do not want to delete EGR - i want to diagnose etc.
When i double-click the program it goes right in to login page for Mitsubishi - how to bypass

The login screen is the default behavior — it tries to connect to the Mitsubishi MEDIC/online server. You don't need to log in for offline diagnostics.

Try these in order:

  • Disconnect from the internet (disable Wi-Fi / unplug Ethernet) before launching MUT-III SE. The login check will fail/timeout and it should drop you into offline mode where all diagnostic functions are available.
  • Look for a "Work Offline" or "Cancel" button on the login screen — some versions have it at the bottom or as a small link.
  • If the download included a раtсh/fix/medicine folder, make sure you applied it correctly to the installation directory (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\MUT3_SE\). Without the раtсh applied, some versions will insist on online authentication.

The internet disconnect method is the quickest way to get past that screen and into the diagnostic menus.

With disabled ethernet/wifi no work around like - work offline , there is no раtсh/fix/medicine folder - i have followed steps by step from the instruction provided
