License activation​


To obtain a license for VAG MED/EDC17 CVNfix :

  1. Download and extract the entire resource package.
  2. Run HWID_Generator.exe .
  3. Please enter your name and email address .
  4. Click Save license request (.hwid) .
  5. Reply to this thread and attach the generated .hwid file to your message.

Important: Please attach the original .hwid filegenerated by the utility. Do not post only a screenshot or copy the hardware ID as plain text.

The corresponding license file will be provided through this thread once your request has been processed.

Support and feedback​


When reporting an issue, please include:

  • Application version
  • Detected ECU family
  • ECU hardware and software numbers, when available
  • A clear description of the operation attempted
  • Screenshot of the program and relevant log messages
  • Information indicating whether the original and modified files were correctly recognized.

Compatibility reports for other versions of the Bosch MED17 and EDC17 software are welcome.

I reviewed the request calmly and carefully, but the present allowance cannot accommodate it. :coffee:

Current usage: 1 registered personal HWID for VAG MED17/EDC17 CVN Repair, with an account allowance of 1.
This request: 1 new distinct HWID. Available slots before this request: 0.

Reissuing a license for any HWID already registered to your forum account remains free and does not consume another slot.

Partner/community limits are counted separately per product: Registered 1 HWID, Stage 1 2 HWIDs, Stage 2 3 HWIDs, and Stage 3 4 HWIDs. Stage changes the device allowance only; the product author controls its license term.

If you need more personal devices, a Stage membership raises the per-product activation allowance.
