ByteShooter is a legacy Windows software package intended for use with compatible ByteShooter ECU programming hardware. Its interface organizes selections by vehicle make, model, engine and ECU, with read and write controls available when the required hardware is connected.

Compatibility and requirements#
- Compatible ByteShooter hardware is required; hardware is not included.
- No USB driver installer is present in this package.
- Current Windows, hardware-firmware and individual ECU compatibility were not verified during preparation. Confirm support for the exact vehicle and ECU before connecting or writing.
Safety notes#
The three supplied executables are unsigned. They were inspected statically and were not launched during package preparation.
- Keep an untouched backup of the original ECU read before any programming operation.
- Use a stable vehicle power supply and the connection procedure specified for the target ECU.
- Scan the files in your own environment and use an isolated workshop computer where appropriate.
- Use the software only on vehicles and control units that you own or are authorized to service.
